Inauguration Of The International Conference On “Environment, Climate & Human Living Conditions In The Light Of The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”...

The Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, in collaboration with the University of Paris Nanterre, Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt, and Deutsch-Französische Hochschule, successfully inaugurated the International Conference on “Environment, Climate, and Human Living Conditions in the Light of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.” The event brought together over twenty-five distinguished legal experts from India, France, Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic.

The proceedings commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Malavika J, Assistant Professor at Kerala Law Academy Law College, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Renowned speakers Prof. Carmen Thiele (Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt) and Prof. Stephanie Rolfing-Dija (University of Paris Nanterre), along with Dr. Dakshina Saraswathi, Associate Professor at Kerala Law Academy Law College, addressed the gathering.

Special lectures were delivered by Ms. Margot Mischo, Director of Alliance Française, and Dr. Syed Ibrahim, Director of the Goethe Institute.

Prof. Anil Kumar K., Director of Administration, extended a warm felicitation to the esteemed guests.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Subin Chacko Mathew, Assistant Professor at Kerala Law Academy Law College, who expressed gratitude to the guests and organizers.

The conference is anticipated to foster enriching scientific discussions and academic interactions, reaffirming Kerala Law Academy’s commitment to legal research and international collaborations.

New Delhi, 23rd August 2025: In a graceful and meaningful ceremony held at the Embassy of Slovakia in New Delhi, the Indo-Slovakia Film and Cultural Forum (ISFCF) presented its Patronship to H.E. Robert Maxian, Ambassador of Slovakia to India. The occasion marked yet another milestone in the deepening cultural and creative ties between India and Slovakia.

The forum, established under the aegis of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), has been working consistently to foster closer people-to-people connections between the two nations through the powerful mediums of art, cinema, culture, and education.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, and Chair of the Indo-Slovakia Film and Cultural Forum for the past nine years, expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Maxian for his continuous encouragement and support. “Slovakia has stood by us as a valued partner in numerous high-profile events of ICMEI, including our global festivals of cinema, journalism, literature, and fashion. The Indo-Slovakia Film and Cultural Forum has, over the years, organized film screenings, cultural evenings, academic exchanges, and artistic collaborations that have brought Slovak cinema and culture closer to the Indian public, while also creating opportunities for Indian artists and filmmakers in Slovakia.

The ceremony concluded on a note of optimism, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to explore new avenues of cooperation in the creative industries, thus strengthening the historic friendship between India and Slovakia.

Mumbai, India, July 11, 2025 – The Film Federation of India (FFI), the parent body of all leading film associations in India, is pleased to announce the opening of applications for India’s entry to the Oscars this year. The executive committee of FFI, in its managing committee meeting, has decided to invite films for submission from August 15, 2025, to September 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.

The FFI will nominate a Chairman of the Jury, along with senior qualified individuals from the creative field, who will be part of the jury. The final entry will be decided by a vote after all screenings are completed, and the winner will be announced on September 28, 2025.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

– Films must be released in India between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025.

– Films must have a minimum run of seven consecutive days in a commercial motion picture theater.

– Content must be 60% in local dialect of any Indian language.

– Proof of release with a minimum one-week run in theaters in India is required.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

– Artist and technician list and synopsis

– Subtitled version in English

– Details of film festival entries or awards received for the film

– Website or page of the film

– Format details will be informed

PAYMENT DETAILS

– Payment of Rs. 1,25,000/- (One Lakh Twenty-Five Thousand Only) + GST Extra.

IMPORTANT DATES

– Application deadline: September 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
