मुंबई के मश्हूर फ़िल्म डायरेक्टर शकील एस सैफ़ी को आल इंडिया रिपोर्टर्स एसोसिएशन के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष श्री फरीद कादरी ने आल इंडिया रिपोर्टर एसोसिएशन महाराष्ट्र स्टेट का शकील एस सैफ़ी को अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया । एक ईमानदार होनहार ज़िम्मेदार व्यक्ती एवं मुम्बई फ़िल्म इंडस्ट्री में काफी मशहूर है हाल ही में अभी एक बॉलीवुड फ़िल्म दिल में तुम ही हो रिलिज होने वाली है । इसके अलावा काफी सारी फ़िल्म बना चुके है जो काफी हिट रही है।
शकील सैफ़ी जल्द ही आल इंडिया रिपोर्टर एसोसिएशन की महाराष्ट्र में टीम बनाएंगे मीडिया की टीम को मीडिया के बारे में जानकारी देंगे सरकार तक कैसे भिराष्टाचार अफसरों की बात पहुचे एवं जनता के हित में काम करे एवं आल इंडिया रिपोर्टर एसोसिएशन महाराष्ट्र का अध्यक्ष बनने पर फ़िल्म जगत के लोगो ने बधाई दी।
अध्यक्ष एवं फ़िल्म डायरेक्टर शकील सैफ़ी ने कहा भारत देश में जहाँ सत्ता लोकतान्त्रिक है हम मानते हैं की पत्रकारिता लोकतंत्र का चौथा स्तम्भ होता है| विधायिका, कार्यपालिका, न्यायपालिका को लोकतंत्र के तीन प्रमुख स्तंभ माना जाता है| इसमें चौथे स्तंभ के रूप में मीडिया को शामिल किया गया|
एक दौर था, जब बच्चे सबसे पहले रोजगार के रूप में सिविल सेवाओं को चुनते थे, फिर उनकी पसंद होती थी बैंक की नौकरी और उसके बाद फ़िल्मी दुनिया में जाना मॉडलिंग करना एवं अन्य सेवाएं। किंतु आज मीडिया के आकर्षण से कोई नहीं बचा है। मीडिया जहां एक ओर जनता की सशक्त आवाज बन कर उभरा है, वहीं वह युवाओं की पहली पसंद भी बनता जा रहा है। ऐसा नहीं कि मीडिया के प्रति यह आकर्षण केवल शहरी क्षेत्रों में ही है, दूरदराज और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के युवा भी इसके प्रति आकर्षित होकर मीडिया में आते हैं। मीडिया केवल खबरों से ही नहीं जुड़ा है। मीडिया अपने आप में एक व्यापक शब्द है, जिसमें समाचार, मनोरंजन, ज्ञान, सब कुछ शामिल है। आज आप कोई भी समाचार पत्र ले लें तो इसमें आप अलग-अलग सप्लीमेंट पाएंगे और हर सप्लीमेंट में अलग-अलग विषयों पर सामग्री होती है। आज भी यही कहा जाता है कि यदि आगे बढ़ना है तो अखबार पढ़ो। अखबार मतलब खबरों का पिटारा। आज अखबार का कलेवर कुछ ऐसा है कि इसमें जीवन से जुड़े हर पहलू को समेट लिया जाता है।
अब दूसरी ओर है टेलीविजन और इंटरनेट। टेलीविजन पर समाचार पढ़े जाते हैं, उनका विश्लेषण किया जाता है, मंथन किया जाता है। एक्सपर्ट अपनी अपनी राय देते हैं और इसमें भी ज्ञान और मनोरंजन दिखाया जाता है। कमोबेश कम्प्यूटर पर भी इंटरनेट के माध्यम से आप ई-पेपर पढ़ सकते हैं, समाचार पढ़ सकते हैं, देख सकते हैं। यानी मीडिया में रोजगार की अपार संभावनाएं मौजूद हैं, बस आपको अपना विषय चुनना है, अपना क्षेत्र पसंद करना है।
पत्रकारिता एक शौक भी है और रोजगार भी। यदि आप में वह जुनून है कि आप इस चुनौतीपूर्ण व्यवसाय को अपना सकें तो ही इस क्षेत्र में आना चाहिए। यहां भी आपके पास अनेक प्रकार के अवसर मौजूद हैं। बहुत से विकल्प हैं। समाचार पत्र में सम्पादक के दो भाग महत्त्वपूर्ण हैं- एक है रिपोर्टिग और दूसरा है सम्पादक । रिपोर्टिग का जिम्मा रिपोर्टरों पर होता है और उन खबरों को सही और आकर्षित बना कर कम शब्दों में प्रस्तुत करना सम्पादक का काम होता है। आमतौर पर एक समाचार पत्र में प्रधान सम्पादक, सम्पादक , सहायक सम्पादक, समाचार सम्पादक , मुख्य उपसम्पादक, वरिष्ठ उपसम्पादक और उपसम्पादकहोते हैं। आप एक रिपोर्टर के रूप में भी कार्य कर सकते हैं। किंतु यहां यह जरूरी है कि आप रिपोर्टर के लिए शैक्षणिक योग्यता तो पूरी करते ही हों, साथ ही साथ आप उस विषय पर पूरी कमांड भी रखते हों। रिपोर्टर के भिन्न-भिन्न विषय होते हैं या यूं कह सकते हैं कि वह अपने विषय का एक्सपर्ट होता है।
