After five successful marquee events in Mumbai & Delhi, Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) is all set to launch its first-ever Most Prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Awards South to honour and appreciate the creativity & talent of South Film Industry on September 20, 2019, in Hyderabad, Telangana. The ceremony has recognized and feted many Indian actors and films for their achievements in the past. Life Has Been My Best Teacher – Ritu Shivpuri On Teachers’ Day...

Ritu Shivpuri, who has been a part of several films as well as television shows, is currently seen in Colors TV’s show ‘Vish’. Speaking on Teachers’ Day, Ritu says, “Life has been my best teacher and I have learnt a lot with time. I have had my own share of struggle, stress and disappointments. People used to say, go and join some motivational classes but I have always believed that you should keep your head high, live with dignity and grace. Don’t let anything run you down and be proud of your achievements. The people that I have in my life today, are my biggest earnings. Life has taught me not to value things, but value people. I just want to be happy, be around with the people I love and cherish every moment spent with them. So, life has taught me to stay positive, may what comes.”

Further sharing her childhood memory, Ritu says, “During my school days, I was a very naughty and talkative student in the class. Teachers used to ask my father why is she always talking and smiling? They thought i am up to some trick. In fact there was one teacher I remember, the moment she used to see me, she used to say ‘Shivpuri, out of my class.’ So I was very naughty but in a positive way.” Meanwhile, on work front, Ritu will soon be seen in a web series and is in talks for a film too.

WEE वीमेन एन्ट्रप्रेनर्स एन्क्लेव व E4BM एन्क्लेव फ़ॉर बिज़नेस मेन ने “बिज़नेस कॉन्क्लेव एंड नेटवर्किंग मीट” का आयोजन ३० अगस्त को अंधेरी स्तिथ होटल विट्स में किया। इस आयोजन का मकसद कॉरपोरेट एवं बिज़नेस समुदाय को साथ लाने के उद्देश्य से किया गया।

TV Actress Verses Plastic Surgeon Case – Is It Relationship Turned Sour?...

A television actress has filed a police complaint alleging that a renowned celebrity cosmetic and plastic surgeon in Mumbai, has molested her.

The Forty two year-old actress, the complainant, is going through a troubled marriage and is fighting a divorce case in the family court which is still pending.

Meanwhile, the doctor (Dr. Viral Desai), has pleaded in his anticipatory bail Application, a copy of which is with this correspondent, he has contended that they had a consensual relationship while vehemently denying rape charge. He further claimed that it’s a relationship gone sour and she was trying to extort huge amount of money to not file this false complaint.

Explaining the same before the court, Dr Desai through his document said, “No where in the FIR has the complainant stated that she resisted when the applicant (doctor) had allegedly forced himself upon her. This shows that it was consensual act and that the entire FIR is an afterthought.”

The copy further states that the two had met a several number of times at various place. “It is the case of the complainant herself that all the staff at the doctor’s house as well as at his clinic are well-familiar with her and that the two have travelled together on several occasions. This clearly shows the nature of relationship among them, and thus the evidence referred, thus makes it clear that the FIR has been filed without merits,” the copy reads.

The court has him granted interim protection till September 5 and asked the investigating police officer not to take any coercive action against the petitioner.

The complainant has charged the doctor of sexually assaulting her on the 9th of August when she went to his clinic.

The doctor, on the other hand, has alleged that he had a Love affair with the complainant since last few years and they were having consensual physical relations at various hotels and at his clinic on a number of occasions. He has filed photographs in the court to show how intimate they were and also produced WhatsApp chats to show that they were in a relationship and this has happened several times at the behest of complainant herself. Even after the alleged incident of rape they went together for dinner from his clinic and had chats with her on a regular basis.

Dr Desai has submitted proofs to show that they were in love with each other and that he has submitted the names of the hotels, photographs, chats and CCTV footage.

Indywood Distribution Network now owns rights of distribution of the official Hindi remake of the 2010 Telugu film ‘Prassthanam’ and would be released in GCC soon.  The much-awaited trailer of Sanjay Dutt’s Prassthanam was released on 29th August, 2019 and the film promises a lot of action and twists. The film, which is the official Hindi remake of the 2010 Telugu film of the same name, also features Manisha Koirala, Chunky Panday, Jackie Shroff, Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur.

The original Telugu film-Prassthanam featured Sharwanand, Sai Kumar, Sundeep Kishan and Ruby Parihar in pivotal roles. It was directed by Deva Katta, who has also helmed the Hindi version. Produced by Maanayata Dutt (wife of Sanjay Dutt), the remake of Prassthanam will open in theatres on September 20.

The trailer which was released, shows a child asking Sanjay Dutt’s character about the morality behind lord Rama killing Ravana and shows Sanjay Dutt fighting goons. Sanjay Dutt plays the role of Baldev Pratap Singh, the head of a political family, and his two sons (played by Ali Fazal and Satyajeet Dubey) fight against each other to carry forward his legacy. Jackie Shroff proves his loyalty to Sanjay Dutt by supporting him throughout the political war.

Chunky Panday also plays a prominent role in the movie and shows a head-to-head political battle along with Sanjay Dutt with a glimpses of Manisha Koirala, Ali Fazal, Satyajeet Dubey and Amyra Dastur.  The plot of Prassthanam touched upon the story of Ramayana and Mahabharata to depict the choice of war between right and wrong even in this era.

ओमपुरी के अभिनय से सजी फिल्म ‘गाँधीगीरी’ से सुर्ख़ियों में रहे निर्देशक सनोज मिश्रा के निर्देशन में बनी कंट्रोवर्शियल फिल्म “राम की जन्मभूमि”से राजवीर सिंह ने बॉलीवुड में अपना सफर शुरू किया। फिल्म में उन्हें मनोज जोशी और गोविन्द नामदेव जैसे एक्टर्स के साथ काम करने का मौका मिला। वह इस फिल्म में बेहद महत्वपूर्ण किरदार में नज़र आए. सच्ची घटना से प्रेरित इस रियलिस्टिक फिल्म के जरिए राजवीर सिंह ने अपनी एक अलग पहचान बनाई और अब इसी फिल्म के निर्देशक सनोज मिश्रा की अपकमिंग फिल्म काशी टू कश्मीर में वह लीड रोल प्ले कर रहे हैं और उन्हें लग रहा है कि यह सही समय है ऐसी फिल्मो के प्रदर्शन का.

पंजाब के एक मध्यम वर्गीय परिवार से सम्बन्ध रखने वाले राजवीर सिंह किस्मत पे बेहद यकीन रखते हैं। एक्टर बनने का जुनून उन्हें दिल्ली और फिर मायानगरी मुंबई खींच लाया। पंजाबी एलबम से शुरुआत करने वाले राजवीर सिंह ने कई रीजनल फिल्मों में अपने अभिनय का जादू दिखाया तब सनोज मिश्रा ने उन्हें राम की जन्मभूमि औफर की.

राम की जन्मभूमि में अयोध्या मामले के साथ साथ तीन तलाक और हलाला जैसे मामले को दर्शाने की कोशिश की गई थी. इस तरह का एक मामला रियल में हो चूका है. इसमें एक औरत को तीन तलाक दिया जाता है और फिर उसका हलाला उसी औरत के ससुर के साथ हुआ. अब उस लड़की के दिल पर क्या गुज़रा यह इस फिल्म में दिखाया गया है. इस फिल्म में मेरी पत्नी का नाम रेहाना होता है. फिल्म में मेरी पत्नी रेहाना का किरदार एक्ट्रेस नाज़नीन पाटनी ने निभाया है। रेहाना से फिल्म में मेरी बहस होती है. और फिर उसे तलाक मिल जाता है और उसका हलाला उसके ससुर के साथ ही किया जाता है. उसी दौरान रेहाना प्रेग्नेंट हो जाती है और यह कन्फ्यूजन क्रिएट होता है कि वह किस के बच्चे की माँ बन्ने वाली है? अपने तलाकशुदा पति की या फिर अपने ससुर की? इसी दुःख भरे हालात में यह औरत सुसाइड कर लेती है. गोविन्द नामदेव ने फिल्म में मेरे पिता का रोल प्ले किया है.फिल्म निर्माता वसीम रिज़वी की इस सन्वेदनशील फिल्म के अधिकतम हिस्सों का फ़िल्मांकन अयोध्या के वास्तविक लोकेशन्स में किया गया था.”

अब अपनी अगली फिल्म काशी टू कश्मीर में भी राजवीर सिंह एक बेहद चैलेंज भरी भूमिका निभाने जा रहे हैं। साथ ही रेप जैसे मुद्दे पर एक शॉर्ट फिल्म में भी वह दिखाई देंगे जिसे कई इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फेस्टिवल में भेजा जाएगा। इस शोर्ट फिल्म का नाम है “द परफेक्ट स्माइल” जिसे बंदिता बोरहा ने डायरेक्ट किया है।

फिल्म ‘दशहरा’ के निर्देशक मनीष वात्सल्य की अगली फिल्म क्राइम थ्रिलर स्कॉटलैंड है, जिसमें स्कॉटिस पुलिस में काम कर चुके एडम सैनी नायक की भूमिका में हैं।

यह फिल्म इस बात पर केंद्रित है कि एक दुष्कर्म पीड़िता कैसा महसूस करती है और अपने साथ घटी त्रासदी के बाद उससे कैसे उबरती है।

नाम एंजल, रूप रंग सब एंजल एंजल और गुण तो बस सुपर स्वीट एंजल के ! दिल्ली की मूल निवासिनी है स्वीट सिक्सटीन एंजल राय। लेकिन, पूरे देश के सोशल मीडिया पर छायी हुई है। इस अभियान में हर कदम इस सुन्दर और सुरीली कन्या की हमराह उसकी मम्मी द ग्रेट  रीता राय हैं। रीता गीत लिखती हैं, एंजल गाना गाती है और वीडियो की मॉडल भी बन जाती है। अभी हाल ही में ज़ी म्यूजिक ने एंजल का नया म्यूजिक वीडियो रिलीज किया है, जिसका शीर्षक है –  “आनेवाला पल” । यह एक युगल गीत है, जिसमें ज़ुबिन गर्ग साथी गायक कलाकार हैं और अभिनव वोरा का संगीत है। ज़ी म्यूजिक कम्पनी ने ही इसके पहले इसी टीम अर्थात् रीता राय के गीत, अभिनव वोरा के संगीत से सजा एक दूसरा गीत “एक नज़र” जारी किया था, जिसमें एंजल के साथ वीडियो मेंं पुरुष मॉडल विवेक वोरा हैं। विपुल की वीडियोग्राफी है और रिंकू चौधरी ने इन गीतों के लिए नृत्य निर्देशन किया है। इन दोनों ही म्यूजिक वीडियो में एंजल का प्रत्यक्ष प्रभाव दीखता है। एंजल के कंठ की मधुरता सहज रूप में दिल में समा जाती है। यद्यपि माँ बेटी दोनों ही सिर्फ और सिर्फ गायिकी की ही बात करती हैं, तथापि एंजल का अभिनेत्री रूप भी वीडियो में अपना असर डालने लगता है। एक और अलबम आनेवाला है, whatsapp का नम्बर जो slow motion fame नाकाश अज़ीज़ के साथ गाया है जो सितम्बर में रिलीज़ होगा इसके अलावा एक और गीत जो अभी एडिटिंग टेबल पर है, उसमें एंजल ने चौंका ही दिया है। “रांझणा” शीर्षक से जारी होनेवाले उस म्यूजिक वीडियो में एंजल ज़ुबिन गर्ग के साथ ऐसा भावविभोर करनेवाला गीत गाती है कि सहसा विश्वास ही नहीं होता कि इतनी छोटी बच्ची ऐसा भी गा सकती है ! और वीडियो में भी उसने एक उभरती अभिनेत्री का आभार करा दिया।

बच्चों की शिक्षा व उनकी चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में कार्य कर रही हिंदुस्तान की प्रमुख एनजीओ आश्रय के समर्थन में अब बॉलीवुड भी खड़ा हो गया है । हिंदुस्तान के दिग्गज प्रमोटर व डायरेक्टर दुष्यंत प्रताप सिंह व निर्माता विभव तोमर ने यह घोषणा की है कि  उनकी आगामी निर्माणाधीन फिल्म कौन हो तुम से होने वाली कमाई का 25 प्रतिशत इस एनजीओ को दिया जाएगा, जिससे इनके द्वारा  किए जा रहे सद कार्यों व सामाजिक जिम्मेदारियों के निर्वहन में बॉलीवुड भी अपना योगदान कर सके । आश्रय को मुख्य रूप से श्री अमल गर्ग व उनकी धर्मपत्नी जो कि एक वरिष्ठ चिकित्सक है द्वारा कई लोगों के सहयोग से चलाया जा रहा है ।

Janmashtami is a festival that reminds us for the reason Lord Krishna descended on the earth centuries ago. Times have proven the victory of love over hatred, truth over lie and good over evil. Lord Krishna’s teaching have remained relevant for more than 5000 years and continue to remain so even now.

His Holiness Radhanath Swami, ISKCON spiritual leader said “This year in Radha Gopinath Temple, ISKCON Girgaum Chowpatty the dress made for  Lord Krishna & Radha had a very different theme  Morning Dress was called “Symphony of Devotion” where the  favourite divine poetry of Lord Jagannath the ‘Geet Govinda’  by Jayadeva Goswami was woven artistically with the Golden sequin glistenes on the buttery stain fabric . This text was handwritten by our temple monk Premkishor das and the text embroidered with golden sequins on satin fabric was dyed in the shades of maroon, scarlet, orange, hot pink and rose colour.”

Swami ji added “The Day Dress was called “Celebration of colours” which was made of Multicolour checkered petals with golden floral patterns perfectly captures the mood of festivity and joy. Like multi-coloured flags that signify the birth of Sri Krishna, the rustic shades of purple, emerald, yellow, blue, and burnt umber squares  arranged together meticulously announce His divine descent and enhance the grandeur of the outfits all together. Sri Gopinath’s asymmetrical shawl design leans slightly towards contemporary design, and yet withhold the essence of a traditional Rajshahi design intact. Floral patterns made using a mixture of golden beads, Swarovski stones, resham, nakshi and kasab reflect the ever-fresh youthfulness of Rajasthani patterns.”

The ethnic Carpet designs beautifully embroidered as backdrop invite all of us for the jubilant festivities.

“The Temple Décor by our temple monk Purushottam Das was called “WEAVES OF LOVE.”  The festival of Janmashtami takes us back to our roots where all the devotees come together to share their love for Krishna,” informed Swami Ji.

Devotees at ISKCON Chowpatty come together and started preparing for the Decors a month in advance. There are 40 devotees dedicated working every day for setting up the decor. Weaving is our traditional art where colourful threads were interwoven with each other to form a pattern, This traditional art form of weaving from Gujarat, Punjab and Orissa as the theme was chosen to show our love for the lord.”

Gundi Studios last evening celebrated outspoken womxn with its streetwear show at the festive/winter 2019 edition of the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW).

Walking the runway for Gundi Studios and starting it with a power-packed performance was internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter and rapper – Raja Kumari. This was first for Gundi and Raja Kumari debuting in a fashion show and was an impactful one. Proudly channeling her inner gundi, Rajakumari’s snazzy performance on her latest track SHOOK from her music album Blood Line, had the audience captivated. Designer Natasha created an exclusive half drape saree with full sleeve greenish blue velvet sports bra material top, paired with velvet shorts for the showstopper. The designer’s and Rap-star love for Gold could be seen from head to bottom, styled beautifully with Gold sneakers and a lot of South-Indian goddess inspired jewelry.

Every piece of Gundi clothing features its signature branding embroidered using traditional Zardozi techniques and is made in partnership with Indian suppliers that meaningfully impact the livelihood of desi women. Some of the designs that were featured at the LFW Showcase are:

1.      Gundi Jacket: The brand co-opted the Bomber silhouette, originally used for Air Force uniforms and later an important symbol in the Punk movement, for the jackets because it provides both function (pockets!) and a spirit of rebellion.

2.      Gundi Tshirt: Gundi is consciously employing time-intensive techniques for casual clothing like their t-shirt that gives more chances to support skilled artisans whose livelihoods are at risk due to diminishing demand for traditional crafts.

3.      (She wears) the Pants: The cut of these pants is inspired by the salwar, trousers worn by women as part of traditional South-Asian dress ever since its inception by the Mughals in the 13th century.

4.      Azaadi Dress aka Freedom Dress: This dress is made from khadi, as a homage to the Swadeshi movement of 1947, which promoted the hand-spinning and hand-weaving of cotton a means of self-determination in India.

5.      Suffragette Sweatshirt: The green of this sweatshirt mirrors one of the brand colours of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU), the radical movement that mounted the first organised campaign for women’s suffrage.

Natasha Sumant founded the brand Gundi in 2017 after garnering immense success as an art director and visual designer with international brands such as the likes of Prose, Sweden Unlimited, Pat Mcgrath amongst others. 

 Natasha explained during the show, “Gundi celebrates outspoken womxn, womxn breaking barriers, breaking the glass ceiling. That comes through in everything we do, from our silhouettes to the talent we work with to the way we structure our business.”

श्री गहभाम प्रोडकशनस और एवीए फिल्म्स ऐंड एंटरटेनमेंट के बैनर तले बनाई जा रही इस फिल्म के पांच निर्माता है अर्जुन सिंह, रवि सिंह, ब्रजेश कुमार राजपूत (बॉबी), राकेश यादव और मनोज कुमार। फिल्म के सह निर्माता हैं जेवियर एंथोनी सलदंहा (रूठ फिल्म्स) और अनु जैन। जल्द ही इस फिल्म की शूटिंग शुरू होगी और जनवरी 2020 में रिलीज़ की जाएगी। कॉमेडियन एहसान कुरैशी ने कहा कि फिल्म से जुड़ी पूरी टीम को मुबारकबाद।

सिद्धांत इस्सर के सिलेक्शन को लेकर फिल्म के निर्देशक राजेश के राठी ने यहां मीडिया को बताया कि किरदार से मिलता जुलता चेहरा मिलने से कहानी बखूबी कही जा सकती है। सिद्धांत की तस्वीरें देखकर और इनसे मिलकर मुझे लगा कि यही इस रोल के लिए परफेक्ट हैं। यह एक मुश्किल किरदार है कई लेयर्स है लेकिन इन्होंने चैलेंज कुबूल किया।”

पवन कौशिक ने कहा कि उन्होंने दिल्ली में प्ले महाभारत देखा है। सिद्धांत ने महाभारत में दुर्योधन का रोल गजब का निभाया है। मुझे उम्मीद है कि लास्ट डील में वह अपनी अदाकारी से सबको दीवाना बना लेंगे।

डॉ शोभा कोसर के 75 वे जन्मदिन पर शानदार कार्यक्रम का आयोजन

गुरु जीवन को नई राह दिखाता है, जिसे बयां कर पाना मुश्किल है। वहीं शिष्य की बात की जाए तो वह अपने गुरु का हमेशा आभार प्रकट करते हुएनजर आते हैं। जरिया चाहे कोई भी होगा। आज यानी 23 अगस्त को राजधानी दिल्ली   के त्रिवेणी सभागार  में ऐसा ही देखने को मिला । यहां पर“आभार” नाम से कार्यक्रम हुवा , जिसे कथक डांसर और रजिस्ट्रार प्राचीन कला केंद्र  डॉ. शोभा कौसर के 75वें जन्मदिन के मौके पर आयोजितकरवाया गया था । इस मौके पर उनके शिष्यों ने  परफॉर्मेंस के जरिए अपनी गुरु मां का आभार व्यक्त किया । इसमें कुछ सोलो परफॉर्मेंस हुयी  तोकुछ ग्रुप में। इन शिष्याओं में शुभ्रा, पूर्वा,और  समीरा कोसर , आदि शामिल हुयी । सभी ने डॉ शोभा कोसर को उनके जीवन के 75 गौरवशाली वर्ष पूरेहोने पर बधाई दी, जो उन्होंने कथक नृत्य को समर्पित की थीं  इसके अलावा संगीत नाटक अवार्डी डॉ.शोभा कोसर ने भी  धमाकेदार परफॉर्मेंस दे करउम्र को छोटा साबित कर दिया ।

Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Passed Away

Former Union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley, 66, passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here on Saturday, where he was under treatment for over a fortnight.

Jaitley was admitted to AIIMs on 9 August after he complained of breathing problems. The veteran leader was one of the most articulate defenders of the BJP and as well as policies of its government both within Parliament and outside it. As a Parliamentarian and minister, Jaitley had set a high benchmark of probity.

‘Do not miss the beginning’! Isn’t this the first thought that comes to your mind when you book for your favourite movie? You would rush, jump rows, and make an online booking just so that you don’t miss the beginning! Quite often we see taking a sigh of happy relief when they realise that the trailers are playing or the National Anthem is playing and the movie hasn’t started.

However, this video by PVR Cinemas has a different message! The video begins with a little boy rushing to watch a movie with his old grandfather and like most of us, doesn’t want to miss the beginning. He runs up the escalator while his grandfather tries to catch up with him. While in queue for the tickets, they see a young couple hurrying up so that they don’t miss the beginning as well. As all of them reach the screen, they’re glad that they haven’t missed the movie and the National Anthem is in progress. While the couple happily engage in some banter, the little boy in unhappy and requests the staff to let him in. To this the staff reassures him that the movie hasn’t started. The boy proudly replies that he didn’t want to miss the National Anthem. The staff is moved by his reply and allows him in.

This video was released by PVR Cinemas around Independence Day and received well deserved praise for the brilliant content, what better way to say that the beginning of the PVR movie experience isn’t after the trailers but with the beginning of the National Anthem. The video evokes patriotic emotions and makes us all feel aware about our responsibility as the citizens of the country.

The Famous film actor Satendra Singh ‘Hero Bhaiya’ through the name of Hero Bhaiya at very high scale, also reaches out to the government and the Chief Minister through the social organization “Jan Samasya Mela- Bharat”  in the more than 7 states of the country.

The film’s earlier name was “Police Politics”, now changed to “Officer Arjun Singh IPS”.  This film based on the politics of the film was discussed during the shooting.  Hero Bhaiya has earlier shown his acting talent in Sahara TV on Hindi serial “Chacha Chaudhary” and “Shararat ” on Star Plus.  In the Hindi film “Zila Kannauj”, the character of the young Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh played by Hero Bhaiya was also well liked among the people of the country.  Satendra Singh Yadav’s first film was “Inteqam the Perfect Game” in which he played the role of a journalist.  In the previous film “Ek Tera Saath: 1: 13: 7” by director Arshad Siddiqui, Hero Bhaiya was also seen as a guest star.  Hero Bhaiya will soon be seen in the Hindi film called “Rifle Ganj” as the role of revolutionary Sukhdev.
