वहीं फर्स्ट लुक में खेसारी लाल यादव के साथ काजल राघवानी भी गांव की एक महिला के रूप में दिख रही हैं। फिल्म का यह फर्स्ट लुक कमाल का लग रहा है। बैकग्राउण्ड में तिरंगे की तस्वीर इसे एक क्लासिक पोस्टर का रुप देती है। फ़िल्म के टाइटल लिट्टी चोखा के साथ टैगलाइन दी गई है “ए टेल ऑफ इंडिया”, वाकई यह भारत की कहानी पेश करने वाली फिल्म लग रही है।

भोजपुरी फिल्मों की जानी मानी अदाकारा और म्युजिक वर्ल्ड की सनसनी चांदनी सिंह ने गुजरात में अपनी नयी फिल्म दीपक किराना भंडार की शुटिंग शुरू कर दी है। इस फिल्म में उनके नायक हैं सिंगर और एक्टर रितेश पांडे। इस फिल्म के निर्माता दीपक शाह हैं।

फिल्म को निर्देशित कर रहे हैं धीरू यादव। नये साल की नई उम्मीदों और चुनौतियों के बीच  इस फिल्म कोलेकर चांदनी सिंह काफी उत्साहित हैं। वह कहती हैंयह फिल्म हल्की फुल्की कामेडी के साथ साथ रहस्य और रोमांच की रीढ़ है जिसे दर्शक जरूर पसद करेंगे। जहां तक मुझे याद है यह पहली फिल्म होगी जो किसी किराना स्टोर को हाईलाईट करते हुए बन रही है।

After making a foray into production with the movie ‘Ashley’ ‘Dessa Dhimmari’ and ‘PENSION’ which is ready to release in next week on Eros now OTT Platform, Savi Goel completed the post production of yet another Marathi movie “Kaalich Lagn…Producer Mr. Savi Goel is now set to venture into Direction with “Contract Marriage” (Marathi Movie) starring Bhushan Pradhan, Neha Mahajan, Dipti Dhotre, Swati karnekar, Prasad Ozarkar music by Dushyant Dubey and Kirti Kiledar. The story, Screenplay & Crispy dailogues also written by Mr. Goel under the Banner of Saveena Creation. Producer-Director Savi Goel completed the shooting of Contract marriage and it’s under the post production.  However, other details about the movie are still unclear. He is the only producer in Bollywood who made five movies in just five-year span.

Mr. Goel was born and raised in Patiala, Punjab. He started his career as a Bank officer with State Bank of India. Then immigrated to the USA in 1996 for better prospects, after resigning from lucrative Bank job. He got instant success there in the petroleum business, owning a bunch of petrol stations/convenience stores.

Since Mr. Savi Goel was active and interested in theatre from college days, he decided to fulfil his dream to associate with Bollywood in 2014. Now he is activity working in cinema industry.

Indywood Bhasha Puraskar has been announced

Indywood Bhasha Puraskar, which offers the highest prize money in Malayalam literature world has been announced. Retired IAS officer, K. Jayakumar was presented with the award for collective contribution to Malayalam language. He was entitled to Bhasha Kesari Puraskar, which includes Five lakhs and one rupees cash prize, certificate and the award. “Even without having a direct connection  with language, even after spending a major time of his life in a very responsible work position, the fact that he was able to contribute to different stratums of the language is what earned him the award.” Says Indywood’s founder, Dr. Sohan Roy.
“The existence of a language depends entirely on the community of the people who is in love with it. Even though in love with our language, majority of us are in a situation to earn our daily bread choosing fields not directly connected to language. Even though the fields of works are very different, by sitting in those positions, the number of linguaphiles who can reflect the love for language determines the existence of it. We have decided to award this year’s Bhasha Puraskar to such a deserving person who has reminded that responsibility to the society through his activities.
Even after holding a reputed official position yearned the most by any young person, even after getting a life splendid with honour, fame and security, K.Jayakumar decided to extend a hand to the language and pull it up along with him. This was the reason why he was chosen to receive this award.
An exemplary talent who started writing a book about Kumaranaashan at the tender age of 17. By writing more than 25 books, writing songs for more than a 100 movies, rendering numerous light music through Akashvani, being a director, script writer, orator, translator and a linguistic researcher, he has established his signature in various fields. He has made contributions to the columns of Kerala Kaumudi and similar reputed newspapers.
“He is also becoming a role model to the youngsters by passing on the message that, whichever one’s field of work is, to adorn mother tongue with the scent of sandalwood, an individual only requires intense love for language and sheer dedication”, says Sohan Roy.
Personalities who made a mark on 15 other categories in the literature field, were also felicitated in the event. Each of the awards include ten thousand rupees cash prize and certificates. The list of award winners are as such; Gireesh Puliyoor is the best poet and his work “Karamanayaar” earned him the prize. M.D Rajendran, who wrote the song “Kuri varachaalum” is the best song writer and for the novel,”Samudra Shila”, Subhash Chandran was selected as the best lyricist. The best autobiography is Nambi Narayanan’s “ormakalude bhramanapadam”. “Komali melkai nedunna Kaalam” won Bipin Chandran the award for best article. Jobin S Kottaram’s “samagram, Madhu ram Malayalam” which contains 2 volumes, was selected as the best educational book. In the “best story” category, Sayra’s anthology of stories called “Tirike” won the prize. Best movie script award was bagged by Muhammed Shafeeq’s “Aama”.
Best critic (V.U Surendran, Vaakkinte Jalasparsham), best scientific literature(Dr. K Sreekumar, Arangu), best travelogue writer (K Viswanath, Yatra – Indian Charitra Smaarakangalilude), best children’s literature author (Sajeevan Mokeri, Kunjikurukkanum kootukarum), best translator( Dr. Minipriya R, Kankanam (Perumal Murugan), best language research (Dr. Nitya P Viswom, Parody Malayala Kavithayil), best comedy writer (Naina Mannancherry, Punkans on country) etc. are the other awards.

N S Sumesh Krishnan’s anthology of poems called Chandrakaantham and R Ajith Kumar’s “Biriyani thinnuna bali kaakkakal” also received special mention from the jurors.

मुम्बई। नागालैंड के सिंगर एन के नागा ने अलका याग्निक के स्टूडियो में 5 हिंदी गाने रिकॉर्ड किया है। उनका म्यूजिक एल्बम ‘कैसे जीयूँ’ मुंबई में लॉन्च किया गया। जिसके वीडियो का निर्माण फाइंड स्टूडियोज प्रोडक्शन हाउस के बैनर तले हुआ है। अल्बम में गायकी के साथ एन के नागा ने गीत भी लिखे हैं जिसके निर्माता रेबेका चांगकीजा सेमा, निर्देशक शिराज हेनरी और करण हेनरी, संगीतकार अबुजार रिज़वी और डीओपी नेहाल शाह हैं।

मुंबई में फाइंड स्टूडियोज प्रोडक्शन हाउस ने 10 साल पूरे कर लिया है। रेबेका चांगकिजा सेमा और निर्देशक शिराज हेनरी ने अपनी यात्रा को साझा करते हुए बताते हैं कि उनके प्रोडक्शन ने 5 हिंदी कमर्शियल मूवी और 2 डॉक्यूमेंट्री का निर्माण किया है। पहली फिल्म ‘द डार्क सीक्रेट्स ऑफ टोनही’ 2014 में रिलीज हुई थी। जो एक ऐसी महिला की कहानी है जिसे ग्रामीण लोग टोनही या काला जादू वाली महिला कहते हैं। यह मध्य भारत में ग्रामीणों का अंधविश्वास ही कहा जा सकता है। दूसरी हिंदी फिल्म ‘लिटिल बॉय’ 2019 में आयी। इसकी शूटिंग अरूणाचल प्रदेश में हुई और पूर्वी भारत के प्रतिभाशाली कलाकारों ने काम किया था।

धीरू यादव जी के साथ मैने पहले भी काम किया है और रितेश पांडे जी का तो जवाब नहीं। बहुत अच्छी टीम है दर्जी एमएलए की। मैं उम्मीद करती हूं कि यह फिल्म मेरे कला और कैरियर को और आगे तक लेजाने में मेरी मदद करेगी।

Speak against the Gandhi clan and Twitter will ban your account: Manish Mishra...

Mumbai : The former Secretary of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Delhi, has alleged that his views on the Gandhi clan of Indian National Congress party led to the suspension of his social media account. Manish Mishra’s Twitter account has been banned for tweeting his views against the party’s General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra.

Mishra said the suspension questions the very essence of democracy and stifles the freedom of speech. “How does it matter if the tweet was against a prominent person of a political party? If people are being targeted on this basis of political inclination, then how will the world of democracy function?” asked Mishra.

Mishra had recently tweeted against the Congressian Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra. Citing the Constitution of India, he said, “Article 19 (1) (A) has given us the right that guarantees freedom of speech and expression.  We live in a democratic country, yet the approach that we have gotten is quite close to tyranny.”

Recently, Twitter also reeled in Amit B Wadhwani, Co-Producer of Movie PM Narendra Modi Biopic released in 2019, for expressing views in favour of right-wing.

Mishra also drew parallel with the emergency that was levied by the then-prime minister Indira Gandhi in 1975. “That was also declared just to suppress and stifle the voices against her. The Gandhi clan is known to pull such strings when the going gets tough for them. Especially when someone rightfully questions them. They really need to learn the definitions of democracy,” Mishra added.

The maiden venture, with ardent followers including 5,000 male and 2,000 female arm wrestlers in the amateur levels saw 400 athletes from 18 states, with Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju and Padma Shri Olympic Boxer Vijender Singh with an undefeated streak, not just making their presence felt at the maiden Pro-Panja League, but also participating in an exhibition match where, instead of shaking hands, they wrestled arms. This was seen to be motivating for the youth, who then flocked in numbers towards the amateur arm wrestling tables set up for the youth to try their hands!

Talking about the origins of the sport in India, Parvin Dabas avered, “Eugene Sandow, the father of bodybuilding visited Mumbai in 1904. This was at the invitation of Sir Dhunjibhoy Bomanji, a shipping magnate and a popular socialite! Sandow’s visit created a great impact and before we knew it, the homegrown Panja became a household thing!”

“The league has spawned an emerging hub of contenders from Punjab, MP, Haryana, Mizoram, Manipur and Kerala! Some of these states also boast gyms in which women often sculpt their ‘dominant hands’ by arm-wrestling!,” revealed Parvin, an avid MMA fan who is also the man behind MMA India Show, Sports India Show among portals.

Preeti Jhangiani believes that these numbers are all set to grow. “India’s most promising athletes are from Manipur and Mizoram! We are exploring more and more states with the hope to motivate more people to take up this sport professionally!

“Anyone can play arm wrestling. But it takes hours at the gym perfecting arm wrestling techniques, physical strength, skill, endurance and talent to compete professionally at a higher level. “We are glad we are pioneering a sport in India where arm wrestling has moved from college canteen tables to the professionally designed Arm Wrestling tables!” elaborated Parvin Dabas who is excited that this year witnessed a record number of entries despite the pandemic.

This year will also see the best compete for the title of No. 1 Arm Wrestler in the country. Interestingly, the technique, the angle of the tug, the timing of a surge and the precise position of each finger decides the winner in pro-Panja League that proves that brain is more powerful than brawn!

9th February 2021, Kolkata: Addressing a virtual session of Ek Mulakat Visesh filmmaker Deepa Mehta said, “Lot of my love for Indian cinema came before I became an NRI and I was very grounded in Indian cinema. I was a reluctant Canadian and for a long time I missed India. But home is actually defined by safety and if I don’t feel safe in India it is not home. I feel if India gives me her stories, Canada gives me the freedom to express them. I am a strange kind of NRI.”

Deepa Mehta, who had faced a lot of controversy and outrage for her films Fire and had to close down production of her film Water in India, was responding to a question by Archana Dalmia, member Ehsaas Woman of Delhi – How has being an NRI shaped your Indianness and how has that Indianness moulded your filmmaking?

The Ek Mulakat Visesh session, organized by Prabha Khaitan Foundation of Kolkata and presented by Shree Cement, was introduced by Priyanshi Patel of Ehsaas Woman of Ahmedabad.

Deepa Mehta’s work challenges stereotypes and is fearless and provocative. She recently shot the pilot and second episode for Netflix Original series, Leila, and is the creative executive producer of the show. She also directed The Manager – the pilot episode of Little America for Apple TV. Deepa’s film Midnight’s Children was shot in Sri Lanka and her latest feature film Funny Boy, based on award winning novel by Shyam Selvadurai, is also being shot in the island nation. “My love for Sri Lanka came becauseIndia didn’t love what I wanted to do,” Deepa said.

Recounting how her passion for cinema came early in life, Deepa said, “My passion for cinema started when I was six-year-old. My father owned a movie hall and film distribution company in Punjab and Amritsar. After school we had to go and pick up dad and shoved on to the movie theatre to wait for him. I saw the film Mamta about eighty times in little bits and fell in love with it. I asked my father – How does this happen? He took me to the projection room and showed me what the film was like, then we walked down the aisle, he made me feel the screen which was a piece of cloth and I thought the whole thing was magical. Something that I couldn’t smell, touch the characters could evoke such emotions in me so it was the window that he opened that had me enthralled.”

“Early on I thought Raj Kapoor was amazing. I saw Sri 420 over twenty times. Another very different film was Jagtey Raho which was a very brave film. Later on I got exposed to Bengali cinema and fell absolutely in love with Satyajit Ray and Ritwik Ghatak. Ray became my hero and to this day I think Charulata is a film that has always inspired me when I make a film on women. At present, the new filmmakers and directors I admire are Anubhav Sinha, Anurag Kashyap, Vikram Motwani,” said Oscar-nominated filmmaker Deepa Mehta who is inspired by the humanitarian cinema of Satyajit Ray, Vittorio De Sica, Yasujiro Ozu of the 50s. She feels humanity, compassion and passion are our saviours in this divisive world.

On social media invading our lives, Deepa said, “It is a very powerful tool and how it enabled Trump. It is also a very destructive tool – immediate decimation and immediate elevation – it has no staying power. It is like dogs keeping barking, the caravan keeps moving on, that’s what I feel. Anything extreme is very dangerous.”

Q: Where do you think filmmaking is going to be in 2030?

“Streaming has completely changed the way we view films. Will we ever go back into theatres? I hope so. Because for me it is like going into a sacred space to see a cinema when you are not disturbed by anything. It will take another form, it has survived for so long. A desire for creating as human beings has lasted since the Natya Sastras. In the 2030s, in some form, dramas will exist because without dramas life is really boring,” Deepa, who feels every film has its destiny, said.

Actress Zoya Zaveri To Make Her Debut With Telugu Film Inka Edo Kavali...

Director and producer Ghantadi Krishna is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Inka Edo Kavali’ under the banner of G.K. Miracles. It is a remake of the super-hit Tamil film ‘Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru’ that released in the year 2016. Karthick Naren directorial ‘Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru’, also known as D-16 had introduced new cast and crew and gained positive reviews from the audience as well as the critics. Similarly, director Ghantadi Krishna is also giving the new talent an opportunity with his remake version.

Young and dashing actors Sandeep, Tagor, Tarun and Vishwesh will be seen sharing the big screen as lead actors while gorgeous divas Zoya Zaveri and Sanya Sinha have been signed opposite them.

Ghantadi Krishna is a renowned music director, lyricist and singer who is known for his work in the Telugu industry. Apart from directing and producing, he has also composed the music for his upcoming film ‘Inka Edo Kavali’. The film is being edited by Shiva, while the fight sequences have been directed by Shankar. Jagadish has worked as the DOP for the film.

Rajeev Kanakala, Anish Kuruvilla, Jabardast Appa Rao, Duvvasi Mohan, Kadambari Kiran and Avataar will be seen in supporting but pivotal roles. It will be a crime thriller film and the audience can expect lots of action sequences and twists that would keep them on the edge of their seats by the climax. Though it is a remake, director Ghantadi Krishna has treated the film differently so that the viewers have a new and exciting experience.

Zoya Zaveri, the film’s lead actress said, “My character is quite interesting. Songs are very catchy and will keep you hooked.”

While sharing her experience working on the film, Zoya said, “It was difficult for me to do a Telugu language film. But I have a passion towards acting and therefore, I have to keep working towards it. Also, I love challenges and that is why I took up this role.”

“When you have that passion in you, you have to take up challenging roles and do justice with each one of them. I can’t share much details about the film as of now,” she added.

However, Zoya assured that the script of the film is strong which has the potential to win the hearts of the audience.

The film is currently in the last leg of its shooting schedule and will reportedly hit the screens in April or May this year. The crew is currently busy shooting a few songs for the film. It is director Ghantadi Krishna’s dream project. However, it had come to a halt due to the nation-wide lockdown in 2020. As soon as the lockdown was lifted, the entire unit came together to complete the film.

The sport now has a competitive avatar that has successfully drawn people across all ages and the followers including genders, thanks to this competition. In a unique bid in athletics to let your forearms do the talking, Pro-Panja is emulating the league format for arm-wrestling!
“Panja is an internationally acclaimed sport seeped in Indianness! That’s what the Pro-Panja League stands for,” expresses actors Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani, the brains behind Pro-Panja League, set to take arm wrestling to the next level in India!

भोजपुरी सिनेमा के पावर स्टार पवन सिंह इन दिनों उत्तर प्रदेश के जौनपुर में भारी सुरक्षा के बीच मेगा बजट की भोजपुरी फिल्म “मेरा भारत महान” की शूटिंग कर रहे हैं। वी प्रांजल फ़िल्म क्रिएशन प्रा. लि. प्रस्तुत भोजपुरी फिल्म “मेरा भारत महान” की शूटिंग जौनपुर में भारी सुरक्षा के साथ की जा रही है।

Infant Jesus Church At Shantiniketan Installs Stations Of The Cross Draws People Of All Faiths...

3 February, 2021, Bolpur (Kolkata): The Infant Jesus Church of Makrampur at Shantiniketan has installed a Station of The Cross – depicting the crucifixion of Christ – and a grotto in the shape of a conch shell dedicated to the Lady of Lourdes.

“The Church, which is drawing a lot of visitors, has become a pilgrim centre in Birbhum district for people of all faiths since the Jubilee Year of Mercy declared by the Pope. It is an added attraction in Shantiniketan where people come to seek peace, tranquility and also appreciate the unique spiritual atmosphere. We shall celebrate a Feast on February 2, 2021, for the first time this year,” said Bolpur parish priest, Father Anthony Raj, who belongs to the Asansol diocese.

“This year the patronal feast was held on 2nd February 2021 with the inauguration of open air Stations of the Cross with some 54 life-size statues depicting the incidents in the final journey of Jesus carrying his cross to be Crucified on Calvary hill. It was during these pandemic times that our Parish Pastoral Council decided to put up the Stations of the Cross and a Grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes,” Fr Raj said.

The  Stations of The Cross, also known as The Way of the Cross, is a depiction of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and accompanying prayers. The resurrection of Christ from the dead is celebrated as Easter – the oldest of Christian festivals.

The Infant Jesus Church has a statue of Jesus under an imposing banyan tree seated in a lotus position imparting his teaching and blessings to all. This is in accordance with the popular tradition of open air classes started by Kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore. The Church also has local Santhal tribal motifs and reliefs have been incorporated in the facade of the church designed and curated by Subrata Ganguly of Church Art of Kolkata – an art & design fabrication firm specializing in inculturation of local cultures in keeping with the canon laws and Christian traditions and conventions.

The same local tribal art forms have also been incorporated in the stained glasses adorning the church. There is also a statue of a mother holding a child and a lamb which is symbolic of all—caring mother who is at the very centre of our community and social life. “The Stations of The Cross has 54 life-size statues and the grotto, in the shape of a conch shell, is influenced by Indian tradition. We have incorporated the local traditions of Shantiniketan while trying to integrate the church decor with the artistic style and philosophy of Kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore and also popular traditions like the open air classrooms which he had started,” said Subrata Ganguly, founder-director of Church Art.

Christian presence and influence was felt from the birth of Shantiniketan. Tagore had invited Bramhabandav Upadyaya the founding father of Indian Catholic theology, who spearheaded the Hinduisation of Christianity on the basis of his Thomistic reading of Saccidānanda.

From May 1981, Salesians from Joypur, Suri parish, looked after the Bolpur mission and Salesian Fr Cyriac Manianchira purchased a plot of land to develop the Bolpur mission. In 1993, Salesians handed over Bolpur subdivision to the Archdiocese of Calcutta and Fr. Valerian Fernandes was appointed first Priest-in-Charge.
