February, 2016: This February Zindagi presents two tele dramas Do Qadam Door Thay on 16^thFebruary at 9:00 pm and Na Kaho Tum Mere Nahi on 17^th February 6:10 pm. With unique storylines, each show highlights the different challenges in life and how one can embrace the sweetness of love and the bitterness of relationships.

Premiering at 9:00 pm on Tuesday, 16th February, Do Qadam Door Thay is an unusual story about love and grief. This social drama revolves around a married couple, Nayab and Zohab, essayed by Aiza Khan and Sami Khan, respectively and their search for each other. Zohab is abducted by Nayab’s cousin Raza and is blindfolded and forced to marry Nayab. The story takes new twists and turns when Nayab and Zohab start their journey of discovering their relationship. While on their search, the star-crossed lovers bump into one another time and time again and start developing feelings, not knowing that they are lawfully wedded. What does fate really have in store for Nayab and Zohab?

Premiering on Wednesday, February 17^th at 6:10 pm, Na Kaho Tum Mere Nahi is a romantic drama that revolves around the lives of a happy couple Mehreen (Saba Qamar) and Meerab’s (Ahsan Khan) and their two children. Meerab earns a humble living and Mehreen tries her best to make do with his meagre salary to maintain a happy home. The story takes a dramatic turn when Meerab and Mehreen’s college friend, Maya, who is married to a multimillionaire arrives on the scene. During their college days, Maya was infatuated by Meerab, but Meerab ended up proposing to Mehreen. With Maya’s return, will Mehreen and Meerab’s lives get complicated?

Bollywood industry is rapidly getting more and more competitive to capture the eyeballs in the opening weekend of a movie release and this is keeping the makers on their toes to roll out innovative ideas in order to promote their films.

For the first time in the history of Bollywood, a 3D interactive and innovative kiosk has been created by Emraan Kureshi from Active Media Innovations, for the film ‘Ghayal Once Again’ featuring Sunny Deol which has hit the Cinemas today. The innovative kiosk was launched on ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ and it was for the first time such integration happened on the National television to launch an innovation. Since then some of these innovative standees were kept at selected theatres across the country where people could click a picture by posing inside the 3D innovative kiosk and upload it on their social media platforms with the #HangOutWithSunny.

Not only common people, but even the popular personalities from Bollywood such as Dia Mirza, RajKumar Hirani, Hansal Mehta, Sushant Singh Rajput and many more grabbed a chance to get clicked with the 3D innovation kiosk of Ghayal Once Again.

Talking about this innovation, Emraan said,” The idea behind the innovation was to bring an integration of outdoor with digital media for the movie, reproduce the stylised action in the film and get people to talk about it. We innovated on the movie artwork to create this life size 3D installation, making it interactive and hence – Hang out with Sunny.”

Explaining the rationale for this kind of an installation, Aniruddha Nag from the marketing team of  ‘Ghayal Once Again’ adds,” The idea was to project a larger than life rendition of Sunny Deol as the original action hero and deliver it in a fresh format, which would represent the stylized action in the film. When we created this innovation, we realized that it worked at multiple levels for Sunny’s fans, as they felt that they could engage with him through this installation.”

The Producer Director and the protagonist of the film, Sunny Deol says,”I have endeavoured to give a fresh experience to all my fans and the general audience with this film and tried to reflect that through every aspect of its campaign. Shiv Tandav album launch in rock music format‏

February 1, 2016 Mumbai: Lord Shiva devotees have one more reason to celebrate – Kangaroo World Entertainment has launched Shiva Tandav Stotram in rock format. The album produced and sung by Shekhar Negi an ardent Shiva devotee; had the who’s who of the music industry attending the launch at Carnival Cinemas, Oshiwara.

The music director for the album is Surender Bachan who has more than three hundred Punjabi and Hindi songs to his credit. The album is directed by Mehmood Bakshi, who is the action director of around thirty Bollywood movies. Dilip Mistry has choreographed for the album. RJ Anuraag Pandey who is popularly known as ‘Picture Pandey’ was the host for the evening.

Speaking on the occasion Shekhar Negi said; “A song is the most effective form of verbal communication and music becomes the bridge to touch someone’s heart. The youth and teenagers today do not understand Sanskrit but do love the beats of rock music and love a song and start singing it if the music and beats are good. Shiv Tandav Rock is our attempt to package the original Shiv Tandav Stotram in rock format so that it is loved by today’s generation.” Shekhar sang and enthralled the audiences present at the launch with three songs and awesome dance performance.

Originally it is believed that the Shiv Tandav Stotram was sung by Ravana – a devotee of Shiva. It describes Lord Shiva’s power and beauty. When Ravana was tired of rampaging across the earth, Ravana returned to Lord Shiva to request moksha, release from the bondage of endless rebirth. Lord Shiva replied that he had granted Ravana the boon of indestructibility. Ravana’s poignant cry in the final quatrain of poetry — “When will I be happy?” is echoed by modern man in his quest for earthly fulfillment and ultimate liberation from its bondage. Shekhar adds, “Shiv Tandav will uplift depressed souls and bless the people with health, peace and prosperity. I have been a Shiva devotee since childhood and visited all the 12 Jyotirlingas at the age of 14 years. Lord Shiva has blessed me with everything. This album Shiv Tandav is my attempt to bring positive changes in the lives of other people also. ”

Real Boxing champions to act in Hindi Film ‘V’ with Sudip Pandey...

Films revolving on all kinds of sports have been made since the era of silent films, such as the 1915 film, “The Champion” starring Charlie Chaplin. When you scroll down the rosters of the past be it in Hollywood, Bollywood or Regional films in this genre can range from a serious to silly and a classic theme. Sports movies tend to keep a warm seat at the ticket windows as well bag awards too.

Hollywood films like “The Karate Kid”, “Rocky” series, “Chariots Of Fire” or “Raging Bull”amongst others have kept the box-office ringing.Bollwood films like “Lagaan”, “Chak De! India”, “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”, “Mary Kom”, etc. were all super hit films.

Now taking a leaf from the same book is the Bhojpuri super hit action hero Sudip Pandey. He is making his Hindi debut with a film titled as “V” being made under the banner of Entity One. Directed by Sanjay Amar with Sanjeev-Darshan providing the musical score, the film revolves around boxing. Sharing the screen space with Sudip Pandey is real boxing champions, Dharmendra Yadav and Vikas Krishnan. Excitedly speaking about his role, Sudip Pandey says, “Films revolving in sports have always gone well with all kinds of audiences. To play this kind of role is really challenging and testing too. Working with real boxing champions, Dharmendra Yadav and Vikas Krishnan has really augmented my enthusiasm to double folds. “V” means Victor and thus we are putting full steam to make it lively on the silver screen.”

Indians can no longer be proud as a peacock, our national bird is being pushed to the brink of extinction. Poaching, indiscriminate use of pesticides and lax laws to nab those who kill the peacocks for their feathers, all add up to an endangered peacock population. Indian  national bird the gorgeous peacock is struggling for survival, the peacock population is also dwindling fast due to habitat loss.

Bollywood ace choreographer Sandip Soparrkar took initiative to spread awareness about “Save our Peacock”. Sandip Soparrkar along with his beautiful supermodel dance partner and his talented team performed on the theme of “Save our National bird Peacock” at opening ceremony of the 14th edition of Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) which began on Thursday at the Ravindra Natya Mandir, in presence of honourable  Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, Honourable Minister of State of Information and Broadcasting Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, festival director Mr. Mukesh Sharma, filmmakers Mike Pandey, Shyam Benegal, Subhash Ghai and brand ambassador of MIFF actor  Jackie Shroff.

The performance began with Sandip playing the evil hunter, Jesse waltzed in and stole the show dressed as the gorgeous peacock who is captured and then forcefully made to perform at a bird show and later killed for its feathers only to be having fans made out of it for yet another show. At the end Sandip presented a very emotional scene of the evil hunter’s daughter requesting him to show her a live Dancing Peacock. That is when he apologies to one and all for the numerous mistake he had made as a evil hunter. Each and everyone present at the ceremony praised the wonderful concept and initiative that Sandip, Jesse and their team took through this 25 min dance drama.

At the occasion Sandip Soparrkar said, “Jesse and me feel extremely honoured to dance at the opening ceremony of 14th MIFF, dancing a beautiful theme dance about safety of Peacock, in front of so many eminent personalities makes us feel humbled. I am glad as an artist I can not just entertain but even educate.”

Actor Aman Verma hosted this beautiful evening of international dignitaries. At the ceremony Mr. Naresh Bedi a renowned film maker was presented with the Dr. V Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the world of documentary filmmaking.

The week-long festival will see a total 385 films screened across three different formats with 30 of them contending for the International Competition section and 27 in the National Competition section.
