The other nite it was the celeb-studded grand launch of Australia’s popular with family and friends Cafe known for its high-quality food and variety of drinks and amazing ambience now in Mumbai, Aromas Cafe & Bistro in Oshiwara, Andheri (W) with Beer & Wine theme. Vindu Dara Singh was the early-bird who came with his wife Dina Umarova. So did politico Krishna Hegde. Noted Bollywood writer-Director Neeraj Pathak whose movie Bhayaji Superhit starring Sunny Deol and Priety Zinta is ready for release, actor Mukesh Rishi, actress Deblina Chaki, singer Madhuri Pandey, anchor-writer Sweta Sharma strolled in to wish this new outlet all the best. TV-actor Rakesh Paul came later with his lady-friend and was seen enjoying the ambience.

The talking-point among the guests was the top quality of the food like the honey chicken with mashed potato, fish,Thai curry et al served there.

Currently, Aromas have several branches in Mumbai with launch of few more outlets on cards. General Manager Abhishek Gaba who spoke to media was optimistic about the success of the Aromas brand.

अभिषेक गाबा ने मीडिया को बताया कि अरोमास कैफे की मुम्बई आधा दर्जन शाखाएं हैं। अब ओशिवारा ब्रांच में न केवल खाना और कॉफी मिलेगी बल्कि बियर और वाइन भी मौजूद होगी। उन्होंने आगे बताया कि यहां चीज़ों के दाम न तो बहुत ज़्यादा हैं और न बहुत कम। यहां वेज और नॉन वेज दोनो किस्म की खाने की चीजें मिलती हैं। ओशिवारा एक ऐसा इलाका है जहां रिहायशी लोग भी आते है तो कॉरपोरेट से जुड़े लोग भी, साथ ही यह फ़िल्म इंडस्ट्री का भी केंद्र है ।

“After successfully bagging the Gold & Silver in World DanceSport Federation Competitions in Taiwan & Thailand in 2017, Rajeswari Vaidyanathan & her partner Shannon Benjamin, the highly sought out couple in India to continuously bring laurels to our country in the field of Latin Ballroom dances such as Rumba, Cha Cha, Jive, and so on is prepping for their 1st competition of 2018 to 1st Malaysia WDSF Open DanceSport Championship 2018, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this month, after a 2 month long intensive training with their new coach, World No.15 Slava Vishnekovs, who has won several prestigious competitions in Europe & Asia including the German Open, Polish & Baltic Championships.

Juggling with time has always been extremely difficulty, especially for Rajeswari Vaidyanathan who also runs the fastest growing Latin Ballroom dance school VR DanceSport in Mumbai, as well as prepare for major competitions globally, to represent India. DanceSport being part of the Indoor Asian Games & World Games, requires rigorous training and practice akin to any other sport. The couple is not only recognised as the best Latin dancers in India, but also as the only couple to dance it in an authentic international way, by several international judges and federations who have seen and witnessed the Latin dancing scene in India.

Spent  a great amount of time training students, adults and kids for social and competitive levels. Due to her training and expertise, she is able to deliver highest quality training in the shortest time. They also have to dedicate several hours a week imbibing the mechanics and techniques and practicing for hours at length. However, the training and being a DanceSport athlete is an expensive proposition and the duo also struggles to find sponsors who are willing to support the sport. Unfortunately, there is no support from corporates, the government or anyone else.

The dance form also requires ample space to practice for which their studio in Tardeo falls short. Despite financial constraints, they have to hire out bigger studios to practice, which puts a huge stress on their already restricted budget. Their favourite place has always been Integral Space in Lower Parel, I love the positivity in this place we always feel satisfied after practicing, adds Rajeswari.

लखनऊ यूपी में अली अब्बास के फादर का कुला टूट जाने के बाद घर की जिम्मेदारियां और बढ़ गई और थिएटर से घर चलाना मुश्किल हो गया था इन हालात से गुजरते हुए 2016/01/अप्रैल को मुंबई आए अपना अभिनय का सफर शुरू किया इस सफर में काफी परेशानियां और संघर्ष  करना पड़ रहा है और अली अब्बास ने शुरुआत में मिठाई के डिब्बे का काम अपने चाचा के यहां सुबह 5:00 बजे से दिन के 12:00 बजे तक काम करते थे और ₹300 की मजदूरी हो जाती थी 1:00 बजे नहा धोकर ऑडिशन के लिए निकल जाते थे और फिर शाम को 8:30 के बाद वह इवेंट में जाकर वेटर का काम करते थे यह यहां भी ₹300 मिल जाते थे और अच्छा खाना खाने को मिल जाता था यह बात उन्होंने किसी को नहीं बताई थी इस कमाई से वह अपना खर्चा चलाते थे और जो फिल्म लाइन से पैसा मिलता था वह अपने मां-बाप को घर भेजते हैं और इसी दौरान22 सीरियलों में cameo किया और 6 शॉर्ट फिल्में दो Webseries 12 बॉलीवुड फिल्में और इनकी यही मेहनत लगन हुनर की वजह से राजकुमार हिरानी सर की फिल्म संजू में काम मिला और मुजफ्फर अली की फिल्म जानिसार में एक बड़ी अहम किसान की भूमिका निभाई है और अभी आने वाली फिल्म इनकी भागते रहो राजपाल यादव के साथ कॉमेडी करते हुए और बैंड फिल्म में भी कॉमेडी करते हुए नजर आएंगे विवेक मुशरान के साथ जो Saudagar फिल्म के हीरो थे और अभी भी उनके संघर्ष का सफर ,जारी है

South Africa Availed The opportunity To Learn The Importance Of Mindfulness with Ishan Shivanand...

In a special convergence of medical science with ancient science, doctors, medical practitioners and professionals of Lenmed Ahmed Kathrada Hospital in Lenasia, South Africa availed the opportunity to learn the importance of mindfulness and meditation in conventional medicinal treatment from award winning global mindfulness master Ishan Shivanand as the latter made his gracious presence to the hospital on Tuesday, 10th July on an invitational session – ‘Mindfulness Prescription with Ishan Shivanand’.

Speaking on the occasion, wellness wizard Ishan laid emphasis on the ironical need for doctors to de-stress themselves and be healthy in order to provide effective treatment, healing & cure to their patients. “Just like the doctors sanitise themselves before and after every patient visit, they ought to sanitise themselves on the emotional, mental and psychic level as well,” the young visionary stated, adding how medical schools such as Harvard had validated through research that mindfulness and meditation lower stress and thus create a perfect ground for faster healing.

The session, which was aired live to the global audience through social media, saw the master offering profound insights for honing the inner self to activate self healing capabilities. He taught the participating doctors meditative techniques, holistic healing protocols & perspective alterations to therapy in particular and life in general. He also harped on the fact that since every patient approaches a doctor in stress, with the hope of finding a cure to his ailments, there was an obvious need for doctors to be fountainhead of positive life force themselves.

In a discourse full of humour, Ishan said that meditation as a complement to medical science was an idea whose time had come and that doctors would see for themselves the convalescence rates improving if they factored in the subtle aspects of a disease, the roots. “A human being is a sum total of the body, mind, emotions and impressions. If we can take an integrative approach to treatment, we can experience more powerful and lasting cure to diseases plaguing man,” he stated.

Though the title of the movie is Unfit, it is the best fitted title  for this film, according to the script.

Sleeper Hit of the year! RedruM – rakes in 1.50crore opening weekend...

While many may not have even heard of the film due to its low key publicity but as the box office reports stand as of now – the film has raked in over 1.50 crore in its opening weekend.

To be honest 1.50 crore weekend may seem a humble number when it comes to the big world of Bollywood but for a film made under a budget of just 90 odd Lacs – its a 100% profit in just three days.

Producers – Durgesh Paul & Varun Bhilwara – look relaxed but were somehow confident of the film’s success. Young producer Varun claims that they had marketed the film in a niche manner and they knew that the undercurrent which the film had was tremendous.

“Rather than focusing and exhausting our budgets in Tier – 1 cities we pivoted and focused primarily to promote our film in Tier -2 and Tier -3 markets. Posters were strategically flooded in those areas and we booked most of our theaters there. We focused even more on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities during the digital marketing phase and we believe that was most effective.  We were lucky that we partnered with Vkaao as well for Tier – 1 through which we got an exclusive PvR release and thus could make some currents in the big Delhi – Bombay circuits as well” – says Producer Varun Bhilwara

He further added – “Teaming with Paul sir was a blessing and he had the same vision as mine. We look forward to collaborate in the future as well. In fact, we target to release our next film in May 2019. We will make announcements for the same by November this year.  “

Tennis star Sania Mirza has done her first pregnancy shoot for the Sunday magazine of the Hindustan Times, Brunch. Her cover and pictures will be out in the issue dated Aug 12, 2018. The photographs were shot by ace photographer Rohan Shrestha at The Park Hyderabad earlier this week.

The first look picture of the cover is out and the mom-to-be looks adorable. In the picture, Sania is looking into a mirror, with the reflection serving as the main image. She is wearing a lace top from Zara, and looks heavily pregnant. However, in the interview inside, she says this is a recent occurrence. “Because I am an athlete and have more muscle tone, my bump was hardly showing until a couple of weeks ago”, says Sania.

Currently, Sania Mirza is 28 weeks into her pregnancy, and is due in October. She is married to former Pakistani cricket captain Shoaib Mallik, and as two people representing rival nations in their own sport, the relationship has been filled with controversy. The couple lives in Dubai, but visits India and Pakistan often.

In the story, Sania Mirza admits that she plans to deliver her baby in Hyderabad. The interview asks poignant questions: Is this going to be a Love Child of India and Pakistan? Would the baby be Indian or Pakistani?

The Indian Filmmaker’s Guide To Oscars

Indian films have been a regular affair in major international festivals. And now, achieving the Oscar dream seems plausible too.

Lobbying, promotions, and what not! The race to the Oscars is a mad rush. Indian cinema, despite its rich storytelling tradition, has not been able to decode the Oscar secret. Until now that is!

The All Lights Film Services, which broke into this niche scene 2 years ago, is leading the Indian charge, helping filmmakers attain international recognition at the Oscars.

In a freewheeling chat with Indulge Magazine, Nisha Joseph, Manager of the All Lights Film Services, explains the Oscar process, the hurdles faced by filmmakers and how the organization she represents has made the dream possible for over 10 films from the sub continent in less than 2 years.

• First of all, can you explain what all categories are open to foreign filmmakers and the process for a film to be selected into the Oscar contention race?

Under the foreign film category of Oscar, “Best Foreign Language Film” is the only category for the foreign filmmakers.  The entry to this category is just one per country and is recommended by the film federation/film apex body of the country.

But under the mainstream category of Oscar, any filmmaker can send their entries. There are around 26 category competitions under this including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and so on.

For the contention, the movie should primarily go through a series of qualification criteria including Los Angeles Screening for 7 consecutive days and if it is not in English language, it should have English subtitles.

• How difficult is it for an Indian movie to compete with other foreign films?

The key is to get noticed. According to a recent report, an Oscar campaign is said to cost approx $3 million to $10 million which includes mass PR campaign and publicity generation through adverts, holding lobbying parties at LA, New York and the film’s parent country, sending out screeners to Oscar jury members, special review reports / critic reviews in famous film journals and publications etc. While Hollywood movies are funded by big studios who undertake the above mentioned tasks for their respective movies publicity campaign for them, for an Indian movie to cough up such a large amount is extremely difficult.

• Since the start of operations, how has your organization helped Indian films gain international recognition?

We have helped 12 Indian Films so far which have all vied for contention under the mainstream category. We have a full fledged team and industry affiliations to screen the movies in LA and carry out other necessary documentation. Some of these movies include Ballad of Rustom, Kamasutra 3D, Pulimurugan, DAM 999 and Color of Sky. Apart from that, we have recently helped send a Sri Lankan movie for contention, which is a first for the island nation. Besides conducting rigorous campaigns to help movies get into the very prestigious ‘Oscar Race’, we also help Indian filmmakers to take their movies to film festivals, film markets and film awards around this world. Thus we make sure that such movies don’t go unnoticed at any film circuits. We have also launched movie sales, an initiative by the All Lights Film Services, where we help film makers to sell their movie rights in a more customized format, and ensure that they receive a comparatively higher amount.

• What are some of the upcoming projects which your organization is lobbying for?

We are currently working on three films, which include a dance documentary (short) titled ‘The Serpent Wisdom’ from India, a feature film titled ‘The Frozen Fire’ from Sri Lanka and a Malayalam feature film titled ‘Aikarakkonathe Bhishaguaranmar’ (Doctors of Aickarakkonam). All these projects are unique, both in content and production.

• How can a filmmaker approach you?

Filmmakers usually approach us directly, or by participating as delegates or submitting their works for the All Lights India International Film Festival, which we conduct annually at Hyderabad. We forge partnerships with movies screened here that we find special. This year, the 4 day film festival will be held at PVR Inorbit Mall. -अमरीश सिंह जी, आप का शेडियुल इन दिनों काफी बिजी चल रहा है?

*जी हाँ, सब दर्शको की मोहब्बत है. अपनी भाषा और अपनी मिटटी के लिए लगा हुआ हूँ. चाहता हूँ कि दर्शको का प्यार और आशीर्वाद यूँ ही बना रहे. मेरी जल्द ही ४-५ फिल्मे रिलीज़ होने वाली हैं. कई फिल्मो की शूटिंग हाल ही में पूरी की है वहीँ कुछ और फिल्मो की शूटिंग करने जा रहा हूँ.२०१८ मेरे लिए एक बेहद लक्की साल साबित हुआ है जहाँ मैंने इतनी सारी फिल्मे की हैं.

-आप अपनी कुछ अपकमिंग फिल्मो के सन्दर्भ में हमारे पाठको को बताये?

* जी बिलकुल, मेरी एक आने वाली फिल्म का नाम है ‘राधे रंगीला; जिस में मेरे अलावा राकेश मिश्रा और संगीता तिवारी के साथ इनु श्री  भी हैं. मेरी एक और फिल्म उल्लेखनीय है ‘युद्ध शंख’ जिस में मैं सोलो हीरो हूँ जबकि फिल्म ‘अग्निकुंड’ में सुशिल सिंह, अनारा गुप्ता के साथ हूँ.

-अपने कैरियर ग्राफ को आप किस दृष्टि से देखते हैं?

*मैं खुद को बेहद भाग्यशाली मानता हूँ कि मुझे अपने कैरियर में बेहतरीन फिल्मे करने का मौका मिल रहा है. हाल ही में मैंने रवि किशन के साथ एक फिल्म की शूटिंग रांची में की है, जिसको सब्सिडी मिली है. फिल्म का नाम ‘हर हर महादेव’ है. इस फिल्म में गुंजन पन्त, संगीता तिवारी और पायस पंडित इत्यादि भी हैं. यह अपने आप में एक बड़े स्तर का सिनेमा है.

-इसके अलावा भी आपने कुछ और फिल्मो की शूटिंग की है क्या?

* जी हाँ, यह सब मुझे मेरे फैन्स की दुआओं का नतीजा लगता है कि हाल ही में मैने लगातार तीन चार फिल्मो की शूटिंग की है. एक फिल्म का नाम ‘जय जय’ है, इसकी शूटिंग इलाहाबाद और सिलवासा में कम्प्लीट की है. इसमें साऊथ की पूरी टीम थी. एक्शन फिल्म है लेकिन साथ ही नाग नागिन टाइप की फैंटसी भी है. भोजपुरी फिल्‍म ‘जय -जय’ को लेकर काफी उत्‍साहित हूँ।

-अपनी किसी और फिल्म का ज़िक्र जो आप करना चाहते हों?

*जी हाँ, मैं दिनेश लाल यादव निरहुआ के साथ एक फिल्म ‘महाबली’ भी कर रहा हूँ. जल्द ही इस फिल्म की शूटिंग हैदराबाद में भी होगी. इसमें दिनेशलाल यादव और आम्रपाली दुबे की जोड़ी नजर आयेगी। इसके एक हिस्से की शूटिंग हो चुकी है, जल्‍द ही दूसरे पार्ट की शूटिंग हैदराबाद में होगी। इस फिल्म को लेकर भी मैं बेहद एक्साईटेड हूँ. जल्द ही मैं फिल्‍म दिल लागल लंदन वाली से की शूटिंग शुरू करूँगा, जिसमें मेरे साथ स्विटी छाबड़ा होंगी। यह फिल्‍म मेरे लिए ड्रीम प्रोजेक्‍ट के समान है, जिसके निर्देशक विष्णु शंकर बेलु हैं। हाल ही में मैंने एक और फिल्म रितेश ठाकुर के साथ साइन की है.

-अमरीश जी, आप अपनी अभिनय यात्रा को कैसे डिस्क्राइब करेंगे?

*देखिये मैं उत्तर प्रदेश के आजमगढ़ से सम्बन्ध रखता हूँ. बचपन में ही मेरे पिता जी मुझे मुंबई लेकर आ गए थे इसलिए मेरी पूरी शिक्षा दीक्षा मुंबई में ही हुई. ठाकुर कालेज में पढाई की, वहीँ के कल्चरल फंक्शन में भी भागीदारी रही, ग्रेजुएशन किया. रवि जी और मनोज तिवारी से मैंने काफी प्रेरणा ली.एन चंद्रा की फिल्म ‘स्टाइल’ में मैं असिस्टेंट के रूप में भी जुड़ा हुआ था. इकबाल बख्श ने मुझे हीरो लेकर मेरी पहली फिल्म ‘राउडी रानी’ बनाई. फिल्म ‘राउडी रानी’ बहुत हिट हुई थी. उसमे रानी के अपोजिट रउडी मैं ही था. उसके बाद फिल्म ‘हमसे बढ़कर कौन’ की थी जिसमे सात हीरोइने थीं जबकि मैं अकेला हीरो था. उसके बाद रानी चटर्जी के साथ मैंने कुछ और फिल्मे की थीं. ज्वाला में भी लोगों ने मुझे पसंद किया था. ‘कंगना के इंतकाम’ में भी मैं हीरो था. आज देखिये १२-१५ फिल्मे मैंने कर ली हैं. अपनी इस अभिनय यात्रा को बेहद सुखद मानता हूँ.

-अमरीश जी, इन दिनों कई स्टार्स भी अपने होम प्रोडक्शन में फिल्मे प्रोड्यूस कर रहे हैं, क्या आप भी इस क्षेत्र में कुछ करने का इरादा रखते हैं?

*जी बिलकुल, मैं कुछ फिल्मे होम प्रोडक्शन की कर रहा हूँ. ओम जी सिनेविजन मेरा बैनर है. इसके तहत मैंने एक हिंदी फिल्म ‘वजूद’ बनाई है, जिसमे प्रीति झिंगियानी हिरोइन हैं. बिरेन्द्र पासवान उस फिल्म के डायरेक्टर थे. उसमे मैं प्रीती के अपोजिट हीरो हूँ. उसी बैनर से भोजपुरी में तीन चार फिल्मे बना रहा हूँ. कुछ अच्छे कांसेप्ट को इस बैनर तले बनाया जायेगा.

~ The cookbook maestro’s daughter launched her First Cook Book – Modern Vegetarian Recipies ~

Mumbai, August, 2018:The culinary world needs no introduction to the celebrated cookbook author, TV host and renowned chef – the late Tarla Dalal. Thus it holds little surprise when her gifted daughter launched her first cookbook – Modern Vegetarian Recipies on the birth anniversary of her beloved mother at Crosswords bookstore at Kemps Corner, Mumbai.

The cookbook has various modern vegetarian recipes which are inventive, simple and easy to follow.  These recipes blend a perfect fusion of eastern and western style of cooking have been authored keeping in mind the diverse age group – children and adults, both young and old.

The book is divided into five sections, namely, starters, salads, main course, desserts and basic recipes. While some of the starters could be used as a main course or as a wholesome midday snack, the salad options are simply easy to make and cover a wide spectrum of ingredients. Several of the main dishes represent global cuisines, though with locally available ingredients. In the dessert section, the ice creams are visually appealing and delicious to taste!

The book originated as a result of the Tarla Dalal’s demise which led to a huge vacuum in the lives of her children. Thus as a gratitude to her beloved mother, Renu penned various recipes after experimenting with them in her own kitchen. Her extensive travels have also helped fuel her passion for creating vegetarian options for the modern palate.

Speaking at the launch Renu Dalal, shared, “I am very excited to launch my first cookbook. I took my first cooking class  during my growing up years . My parents loved hosting friends and family over and we used to follow the tradition of not repeating the same menus. Trying out new and innovative dishes have been a tradition in our family and its indeed a great moment for me to have penned some of the tastiest, healthy,  quick and easy to prepare recipes, which I’m sure all will enjoy.”

अल-हज इब्राहिम गुलाम नबी शेख (भाईजान), महाराष्ट्र राज्य हज कमेटी के एक्स चेयरमैन, ने आज दिनाँक २९ जुलाई २०१८ को, सुबह ७.३० बजे छत्रपति शिवाजी इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट सहार से हज के लिए रवाना होने वाले प्रथम जहाज के यात्रियों का स्वागत किया।

इस अवसर पर यूनियन मिनिस्टर मुख्तार अब्बास नकवी ने कहा “यह एक ऐतिहासिक पल है, जब इस साल पहली बार हज यात्रा बिना सब्सिडी के संपन्न हो रही है”। इस साल १,७५,००० हाज़ी हिंदुस्तान से पाक मक्का में हज करेंगे। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने पिछले दो सालों में हज का कोटा ४०,००० बढ़ाया।

हज यात्रा पर जी एस टी का कोई असर नहीं पड़ा है, कम से कम खर्च पर लोग हज कर सके, ऐसी व्यवस्था की गई है। केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने कहा है कि अगले साल २०१९ में दो अलग अलग पानी के जहाजों से हज यात्रा सम्भव होगी।

इब्राहिम भाईजान (सेन्ट्रल हज कमेटी के सदस्य), ने जी एस टी को हटाने की एवं महाराष्ट्र में हज कोटा बढ़ाने की सिफारिश की।
