Film Chalk N Duster opens with Annual Day Prepartions of Kantaben High School, where Dacnce Teacher Jyoti (Juhi Chawala) & Art Teacher (Upasana Singh Bharadwaj) are doing rehearsals with students for Annual Day. Twist comes when Head Clerk Kamini (Divya Dutta) tells lies to Anmol Pareikh (Aarya Babbar) who is a UK return , that She has done preparations for Annual day & Takes the honor of Principal.
On Getting Powers, Kamini increases fees , puts charge on Tea , Inorder to haraas Teachers so they on their own leave and go, So can appoint younger ones.
But Here comes twist , when She raised fingers on Vidya (Shabana Azmi) that she is incapable of teaching – Who has given free lectures & classes to students who can’t afford. These words came in ears of Jackie Shroff (Who is owner of No 1 School) & He sent Media (Richa Chaddha) to Kantaben School and Then you know “When Media is there, Truth can’t be hidden”

Direction by Jayant Gilatar is just Super. Great story line which is portrayed by sweetness and simplicity, and keeps it charm throughout.
Music By Sandesh Shandilya is sensuous especially “Aye Zindagi” & “The fear of Algebra” which guesses will remind you of Algebra and Geometry.
Character Graph : Juhi Chawla looks lovely as Dance teacher, which actually took me back reminded of my Hindi Teacher. Shabana Azmi (Maths teacher) and I can really remember lessons given by Naina teacher on Algebra.
TV’s popular artiste Divyajyotee Sharma as Mrs Pinto has given wonderful performance in her maiden hindi feature film. She excells in her role.
Aarya Babbar also maintains his presence even in his small appearance . Special Appearance by Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Richa is again Outstanding. And Last but not the least Vampish Divya Dutta , you are just thundering after Bhagbaan.

Lohri festival is around the corner and seen are the Bollywood and television celebrities gearing up for the festive day. Punjabis were seen rocking while celebrating the festival Lohri Di Raat with bonfire and great enthusiasm. The ‘Lohri Di Raat’ festival was graced by many celebs from Bollywood like Jeetendra, Ranjeet, Ronit Roy, Pankaj Dheer and Mukesh Rishi. This auspicious festival event was hosted by Shri Charan Singh Sapra, President of NGO Punjabi Cultural Heritage Board. Actor Ranjeet was the first to arrive and was seen enjoying the fabulous traditional songs which were sung by Bollywood Singer Shipra Goyal.
Mr. Sapra spoke about the importance of Lohri fest and how every Punjabi feels connected with it in Mumbai too. PCHB celebrates Lohri every year to promote the Rich Heritage & Culture of Punjab amongst the younger generation here. Actress Sudeepa Singh was looking gorgeous in traditional attire and was seen dancing on the tunes of Punjabi music. She mentioned how she still remembers the Lohri fest memories of her childhood.
Actor Ronit Roy said, “Lohri signals the end of winter and the advent of spring so the celebration reflects warmth”. People were seen gathering round the bonfire throwing sweets, puffed rice and popcorn into the flames, singing popular songs and exchanging greetings with each other.
Actor Jeetendra was seen enjoying and dancing to the Punjabi music. He mentioned that he loves this festival and he is very happy that Mr. Charan Singh Sapra has invited him to join in the Lohri festival celebrations.
Ace Choreographer Ganesh Acharya and actor Aman Verma (Bigg Boss 9 fame) released Siddhi film’s debut production Music Album “JHANKAAR”, (the sound of soul) produced by Sandeep Ingle in presence of many other guests from bollywood and music fraternity at a premium venue in Andheri (W). Bollywood Diva Jividha Astha also graced the evening to greet Sandeep Ingle for his remarkable musical project. Director Manish Srivastava, Krishna also greeted the debuting actors of the music video of the title track.
“JHANKAAR” is a bouquet of soulful yet foot-tapping tracks sung by dynamic singers i.e. Ravi K. Tripathi, A Star Ammy & Megha Bhardwaj of today’s music trend.
The music video has been beautifully picturized on Sandeep Ingale, Raj Jatanio and Amitha Kulal. the trio performed live in front of the packed house along with dancers. The live performance too was a visual treat for the audience.
