Producer Savi Goel Begins Shooting Of His Next Upcoming Movie PENSION In Bhor...

Creative content and social values in Bollywood, especially Marathi cinema is being widely accepted & appreciated by the audience and critics alike these days.  Keeping this trend in view,  Producer and creative director, Swatantra Goel ( Savi) decided to make a Marathi movie “Pension” under his banner Saveena Creation, after tasting the success of his Hindi movie ASHLEY in 2017 and Telugu Film DESA DHIMMARI in 2018. Producer Savi Goel looks pretty excited about his upcoming Marathi venture “Pension’. Reportedly, the script has been written by the reckoned award winning writer Pundlik Dhumal, who will also be seen at the helm of direction.

Pension is a sensitive story of a struggling woman , A mother who can barely afford to manage her household yet she leaves no stone unturned for her brilliant school going son, while the core of the story revolving around the meager family’s pension income. This challenging lead role is being played by none other than the beautiful and versatile actress, Sonali kulkarni ( Sr.) Who has proved her mettle in several Marathi & Hindi films, winning herself numerous awards.

The shooting of the movie has started on 13th September and is likely to finish in one schedule of 20-22 days in the beautiful locations of Bhor, Maharashtra. Savi Goel is optimistic for the success of this movie which will tentatively release by the end of this year, keeping up with his commitment to make atleast one movie each year.

Chest wall deformities and corrective procedures: A closer look at Funnel Chest(pectus excavatum) and Pigeon Chest (pectus carinatum)

One afternoon during a busy clinic, I saw a young 18-year-old man with his mother. He was tall and slim and appeared extremely shy. His mother, who looked very worried, handed me a letter from his GP which described him as having pectus excavatum. I asked him to remove his shirt so that I could examine his chest, but he was extremely reluctant to do so. His mum said that she would leave the room and told me that he had never removed his shirt in front of any of his family members. When she left the room, I examined him and found him to have quite a deep depression of the sternum. He told me that this made him feel like a ‘freak’ and that he would remain covered up during the summer on the beach and even when he went swimming. His mother later told me that he had few friends and was also surprised that he had not yet had a girlfriend.

What is pectus excavatum and how is it treated?

Pectus excavatum is an anterior chest wall structural deformity characterised by sternal (breast bone) depression. The condition is developed after birth due to an unequal growth of cartilage supporting the sternum. This presses the sternum inwards onto the cardiopulmonary system, creating a classical defect.

Initially, pectus excavatum was treated in the form of the Ravitch procedure, an extensive surgery involving the removal of cartilage, breaking of the sternum and re-joining it together. Following this procedure, the patient would remain in hospital for up to seven days with a recovery period lasting up to six weeks.

The new approach (the Nuss procedure), introduced by Dr Donald Nuss from the USA for children adopts a keyhole technique. We currently offer treatment in the form of the minimally invasive Nuss procedure at our centre. During this procedure, a metal bar, which is pre-designed for a patient’s particular defect, is passed under the sternum through a tiny incision of half a centimetre. It is fixed on the other side with a stabiliser and the sternum is instantly pushed forward to correct the defect. The bar stays in place for up to three years. Following this three-year period, the bar is typically removed during another short procedure. The Nuss procedure is performed under general anaesthesia and takes approximately half an hour from start to finish. The patient will then stay in hospital for one night and can usually return to an office job within a week. Pain control is sometimes needed for patients in the post-operative period. In hospital, we would offer patient controlled analgesia.

This surgery has revolutionised the outlook and recovery time for patients and we are receiving an increased number of referrals from all over the UK and abroad.  We set up our unit in collaboration with Professor Pilegaard from Denmark who has extensive experience in minimally invasive pectus correction surgery. We can offer this surgery to anybody from 16 to 40 years of age.  From 40 years upwards, the cartilage become calcified and the bar may not correct the defect sufficiently.

Pigeon Chest

Pectus carinatum (or pigeon chest) is a deformity of the chest wall caused by abnormal growth, and subsequent protrusion, of the sternum (breast bone) and adjacent ribs. Traditionally, pectus carinatum has been treated surgically. In many centres, the modified Ravitch procedure has been adopted for surgical correction. This involves a vertical incision at the area of most severe deformity. This incision allows surgeons access to the sternum and adjacent ribs. Multiple rib cartilage resections are made to shorten the length of deformity and a wedge osteotomy of the sternum is performed. The newly created space at the osteotomy line is filled and the sternum is stabilised with a titanium bar (Scarci, M et al., 2016).

Alternatively, pectus carinatum can be treated with the use of orthotic braces. Compressive orthotic places offer a non-invasive solution. These braces take advantage of the malleable nature of the chest wall in adolescents and, therefore, younger patients are typically more amenable to successful correction with orthotics.

Our centre uses a T-Joe bracing system for all pectus deformities. This is a flat-profile brace that can be used during physical activities as it allows unrestricted arm motion. The T-Joe brace can also be worn overnight in bed. Each brace is custom-fit for each patient (Pectus Services, 2019).

सौरभ ने बताया कि यह फिल्म का मुख्य आधार बिहार हैl 1990 के दशक के बिहार का स्वरूप दर्शकों को हमारे फिल्में में देखने को मिलेगा, चुकि मैं भी मूल रूप से बिहार से हूं तो मैं उस वक्त के बिहार से अच्छी तरह वाकिफ हूंl हमारी फिल्म में दर्शकों का संदेश के साथ-साथ  मनोरंजन का भी ध्यान रखा गया है, मूलत: यह एक थ्रिलर फिल्म होगीl चुकि बिहार में उस वक्त लोगों के दर्द को मैंने काफी करीब से देखा है इसलिए मुझे विश्वास है कि  मैं एक अच्छी फिल्म का निर्माण कर पाऊंगा जो दर्शकों को बहुत पसंद आएगीl

Music Makers Suresh Thomas And Siddharth Kasyap

Suresh Thomas of Crescendo Music organized a special launch of three music videos simultaneously  to honour renowned music Composer, Siddharth Kasyap,the Founder and CEO of Sk Music Works.

The songs rendered by singers Madhuri Pandey, Sujata Majumdar and Divya Patidar Joshi, are cover versions of Siddharth’s original compositions that have already been released on his own music label, SK Music Works.

The evening was graced by the internationally acclaimed singer, Anup Jalota and veteran classical music producer Narayan Agrawal.  The cover videos are directed by Mithilesh Kumar.

The launch party compered by Aradhana Nayar, turned out to be a fun packed get together. The event witnessed the presence of several artists from across the film, music and television industries. Popular faces such as Nisha Rawal, Karan Mehra, Atul Manjrekar, Karan Oberoi, Harmeet, Aziz Zee, Sejal Sharma, Anveshi Jain, Swati Singh Rajput, Mruga Umrania, Shakir Shaikh, Namrata Jadhav, Rajeev Paul, Rakesh Paul, Vineet, Anveshi Jain and Mridula Oberoi were just a few amongst the many present.

मुंबई के बांद्रा कुर्ला कॉम्प्लेक्स में स्थित इल्युमिनाटी में इस एलबम की भव्य लॉचिंग पार्टी रखी गई जहां इस एल्बम से जुड़ी पूरी टीम मौजूद थी. भारी बारिश के बावजूद यहां मेहमानों और मीडियाकर्मियों की काफी संख्या थी। लॉचिंग पार्टी मे शामिल हुए मेहमान राम मिरचंदानी (इरॉस नॉव), विशाल सुदर्शनवार संग पत्नी एल्सा निलाज, गिरीश वानखेड़े, इस्माईल जी, हॅरी वर्मा, ऊसके अलावा उनके ख़ास अहमदाबाद से आये हूए द्वारकेश डिवाईन के पार्टनर केतन शेठ जिसकी आरती ब्रांड ऐबेसेडर हैं वो भी आये हूये थे. सब ने वेदांत की इस पहली कोशिश की खूब सराहना की।

अपने पहले म्यूज़िक विडिओ को लेकर बेहद उत्साहित वेदांत नागपाल ने कहा कि एक बार गणपति विसर्जन की वजह से ट्रैफिक में वह घंटो फंसे थे, उससे प्रभावित होकर उन्होंने एक रात में यह गीत लिखा। इस गीत का थॉट यह है कि अगर गणपति जी आज यहां होते तो क्या सोचते?’
अपनी माता के साथ पीछले दो साल से वो धर में ही मीट्टी के गणपति बाप्पा बनाकर धर में ही विसर्जन करते हैं ।
हिंदी के बजाय अंग्रेजी में इस एलबम को जारी करने की वजह बताते हुए वेदांत ने कहा कि मैं दिल से लिखता और सोचता हूं। यह गाना भी मैंने दिल से लिखा है। मै अंग्रेजी में अपने जज्बात को एक्सप्रेस ठीक से कर सकता हूं।”

अपनी माँ आरती नागपाल के बारे में वेदांत ने कहा कि वही मेरी मां हैं और मेरे पिता भी। उनके सपोर्ट के बिना मै कुछ भी नहीं कर सकता।”
अपने पुत्र के इस पहले कदम से बेहद उत्साहित और इमोशनल आरती नागपाल ने कहा कि अभी तक वेदांत की इंजिनीयरिंग का रिजल्ट भी नहीं आया है, लेकिन फिल्म के तकनीकी क्षेत्र में इसकी रुचि बेहद गहरी है। मेरी शॉर्ट फिल्म अब्यूज में इन्होंने प्रोडकशन का काम किया था। आज दुनिया भर में ग्लोबल वार्मिंग बढ़ रही है, विसर्जन की वजह से नेचर के साथ गड़बड़ ना हो,किसी इंसान को कोई परेशानी ना हो। इस विडिओ में यह मैसेज दिया गया है। मै सबसे अपील करूंगी कि ईको फ्रेंडली चीजों को बढ़ावा दें।”
आरती नागपाल इस विडिओ में कत्थक करती हुई भी नज़र आ रही है। इस बारे में इन्होंने कहा “मैंने बचपन में भरतनाट्यम सीखा हुआ है। इस वीडियो में मैने कथक नृत्य पहली बार कुछ ही घंटों की रिहर्सल के बाद किया है।”

वेदांत ने यहां कहा कि मुझे बड़ी ख़ुशी है कि यहाँ कई मेहमान शामिल हुए और सब ने मेरी इस छोटी सी कोशिश को सराहा। सारे मेहमानों ने मुझे इसके लिए ढेर सारी बधाई दी, और मेरा हौसला बढ़ाया। इस मौके पर विवान उनके कज़ीन भाई का बर्थ डे होने के कारण एक स्पेशल केक काटकर इसका जश्न सब लोगों ने मनाया, विघिका नागपाल भी अपने भाई के सपोर्ट के लिये मौजूद थी।”  इस एलबम के मीडिया प्रचारक हैं मुंडे मीडिया.
