Vedant Nagpal – Acatalepsy Premiere music video for the breakup anthem – Losing Interest on YouTube...

Vedant Nagpal, Aartii Nagpal’s son, going by the artist name Acatalepsy has just released his new music video for his hip hop song – Losing Interest under his home production house AKS Studios, which shows the whimsical mind of the new generation in relationships.

It’s a deeply layered concept, with the end left to the viewers understanding.

It is a 2 part music video, first one is his song called Memories (https://youtu.be/Z5xxPPGA4_Q), where he shares his intimate memories with his partner, and co-star Divija Gambhir, entirely shot on a handycam, giving a very home video feeling.

This then takes us to the current situation, in which he feels she is losing interest, but is so confused if everything he is experiencing is something that he has imagined or is it the reality? This is what modern relationships have come to, with both the partners doubting each other, just because of either their past experiences or movies/tv shows or their peers experiences.

It is an extremely gripping video, which will surely make you want to rewatch it over and over again! The chemistry between both of them makes it seem so real, you almost won’t believe that they aren’t together in real life.

Aartii Naagpal organised the music video release event in collaboration with Club Illusion – Level – 1 for her Son Vedant Nagpal. A close group of friends and family were present keeping in mind all the precautionary measures for COVID; Rahul Shukla (Midday C.E.O )  Deepshikha Nagpal, Priyanshi Nagpal, Vidhika Nagpal, Vivaan Nagpal, Divija Gambhir (the female lead in the music video), D.O.P Abhinav Om Prakash, Pramod Shinde ,Vishal SharmaVicky Hamid, Sanjay Chawla Ankit Choudhary ( team illusion )  Payal Malhotra, Rahul malhotra, Manav Sharma.

Kamala Harris Is Not Going To Be 24×7 Friend Of India – Meghnad Desai...

15 January 2021, Kolkata: Commenting on India-US relations under US President Joe Biden, British economist and politician, Lord Meghnad Desai, said, “I don’t think Kamala Harris is going to be absolutely 24X7 friend of India. She has her own views on many things. India and USA will probably have differences as Biden is on the soft left of American politics as Donald Trump is on the populist right of American politics. Therefore, there may be differences between Narendra Modi and Joe Biden on questions of human rights, Kashmir and so on. There already have been differences even when Trump was President with the Congressional Democratic members in America.”

Lord Meghnad Desai was addressing an online session of Kitaab series organised by Prabha Khaitan Foundation of Kolkata and presented by Shree Cement where his latest book “Rebellious Lord: An Autobiography”was formally launched by guest conversationalist Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Indian economist and former civil servant. The Kitaab session was formally initiated by Ms Priyanshi Patel of Ehsaas Woman of Ahmedabad and was joined in by guests from all over the world.

On India-China relations Desai said, “There is no solution to the India-China issue. It is a clash of two very deep nationalisms; two old cultures. How we are going to reconcile is very difficult.”

Lord Meghnad Jagdishchandra Desai, is a British politician, life peer, author, economist, commentator, columnist and a film buff who has written over 30 books on economics, politics, history, cinema and fiction. He was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2008 by the Indian Government. He resigned from the Labour Party in November last year after 49-years citing anti-semitism. Lord Desai’s autobiography “Rebellious Lord” aptly reflects his contrarian views and approach on many subjects.

Talking of Indian films Desai said, “Bollywood and Indian films have an uncanny ability to tell India’s story to the world since Raj Kapoor’s times, even as it changes. Obviously India is not a single story, so there is enough scope for different producers, writers and directors to tell different kind of stories. The passion that people show regarding a film is astonishing. I am a great fan of Bollywood, including southern films, which is a very good storyteller with content and entertainment,” Desai said.

Responding to a question by Montek Singh Ahluwalia about his analysis of the economic policies of the BJP in the mid 90s, Meghnad Desai said, “The BJP had a very muddled economic policy 25 years ago. Mentor, Deen Dayal Upadhyay had a kind of third-way idea, neither capitalism nor socialism. It was a khichadi. I went through all the manifestos of BJP and found a tremendous evolution by the time they were into power in 1998 in a NDA coalition. The Singh-Rao reforms were successful and instead of opposing those reforms, they swam with the tide. So their manifestos were totally irrelevant as to what they did.”

Meghnad Desai said, “In India people are expected to tread the same path. I have had a number of evolutions in my thinking and I had said in my article that there was no chance of Communist revolution in India. The 1991 reforms was a great thing Manmohan Singh and Narasimha Rao did which I was waiting for. Those in the Planning Commission knew I was their friend. It was the people outside who were surprised – How can a man have two different ideas in his head! So, I had polluted my caste several times.”

AboutIndia, Desai said, “I see India as a collection of nations, anything which has a language and a territory, it may have a religion as well. Language makes all the difference. India is a sort of Europe. One of the books I am working on will show how diverse Indian history is .Who knows any history of Assam or Kerala. So I want to make people aware and relax that India is a nation state and is not going to go anywhere else. India is a united civilisation rich in nationhood.”

Regarding quitting the Labour Party, Desai said, “There was a leftward shift in 2015 with Jeremy Corbyn elected, lots of people came in. The 1970s and 80s Trotskyites were OK. They were radical and all that but we could deal with them, I was chairman of my Party at that time. But this new bunch were very anti-semitic and threw abuses at the Jewish MPs, especially Jewish women MPs.  The Party was reluctant to proceed against them and was reported to the Commission on Human Rights and Equality and the Commission said Yes! The Party had a problem. I was feeling very embarrassed about it. A final report came and our former leaders said it was political propaganda. He was suspended and nineteen days later readmitted. I said this is it I am no longer going to be a member. These people are non-serious about tackling anti-semitism. I wanted to be comfortable with my own conscience. I sit in the cross benches now.”

Reflecting on his nearly five decade political career in the UK, Meghnad Desai feels the reward of being in politics is the experience itself.

Kitab is a signature event of Prabha Khaitan Foundation of Kolkata conceptualised by Mr Sundeep Bhutoria which provides a forum for writers, poets, intellectuals and thinkers to launch their books and share their thoughts and views on varied topics leading to thought-provoking and stimulating intellectual discourses and discussions.

Sahir Ludhianvi Conveyed Deep Philosophical Ideas In Simple Terms – Nasreen Munni Kabir...

8 January, 2020, Kolkata: “Sahir Ludhianvi’s song from the golden era `Man re tu kahe na dhir dhare’ captures our life’s reality and spirit during the Covid times. Sahir had a mastery over Hindi and Urdu and conveyed deep philosophical ideas in simple terms,” said UK-based television producer, director and author, Nasreen Munni Kabir, in conversation with ace journalist and film critic, Namrata Joshi, at an online session of Tete-a-Tea series organised by Prabha Khaitan Foundation of Kolkata. The year 2021 marks the birth centenary of poet-songwriter Sahir Ludhianvi.

Film aficionados and booklovers logged in from across the country for an engaging and nostalgic session that focused on Bollywood’s iconic songwriter, lyricist and poet of yesteryears, Sahir Ludhianvi, who was born on 8 March,1921, in Ludhiana and came to Delhi from Lahore after Partition. Sahir’s Hindi film songs became immensely popular and even today, generations later, till echoes in our minds and has not lost its appeal.

Nasreen Munni Kabir has been promoting Indian films abroad for over five decades and has made over 100 programmes and docu-features on Bollywood legends. She has authored over 20 books on Bollywood icons and her latest book “In the Year of Sahir 2021 Diary” – conceived as a collectible diary – is a paean to the legendary songwriter-poet. Prabha Khaitan Foundation has gifted this unique Diary to all its Ehsaas Woman associates across 35 cities in India.

Responding to Namrata Joshi’s question – How did you discover Sahir? Nasreen said, “Honestly, to me, it was Pyaasa. The cinema was shown in London and it was the songs. The Urdu was difficult so I didn’t understand the whole meaning of his words. But I think he is amazingly romantic in one way, but underneath that there is a layer of melancholy which struck me. He described emotions in very simple and effective terms but there is a sad ending. They are not happy songs. I think the romantic songs that we remember are the sad ones. When we are sad, we listen to sad songs and not the disco songs. He really connects to people who are discerning and caring about the world but have a tinge of melancholy in the idea of romance.”

Commenting on what made Sahir’s lyrics stand out, Nasreen said, “Most of the Urdu poets of that era had to work in films in order to earn money because publishing was not paying money so much. Sahir worked with Arnold brothers and Chetan Anand. So from the very start, he was not working for C-grade films but with the top people of the era like Dev Anand and Sachin Dev Burman, who were very educated and sophisticated. He was moving in an educated milieu. He was not asked to lower the tone of his lyrics ever.”

The most difficult thing was to appeal to everybody. One can only do that if he masters something and speaks in a very straightforward language. When one knows something, he or she will say it simply. Sahir knew how to use the language and in what context. He also knew the character and wrote poetry, lyrics and the song to suit the character of a particular film,” Nasreen said. Nasreen, however, believes that a film is made by a team and not just a director. It is more so in the Hindi cinema because there are various fragmentations in the creation of the film. But the director chooses the right person for each fragment and Sahir Ludhianvi always measured up to their expectations.

Can Water Kill Coronavirus?

It can de-grease a kitchen. It can clean windows. It kills athlete’s foot. And now, this elixir is brought to India to replace the toxic chemicals used to kill COVID. Electrolysed Oxidising Water, the patented technology brought to India by the country’s pioneering water technology platform, Amazing Ambrosia Pvt. Ltd. under the name Amazing Hygieia and HygieiaDent, is hailed as ‘El Liquido Milagroso,’ or the miraculous liquid, a substance that scientists aver is powerful enough to kill any lethal virus without harming people or the environment.
Used as a sanitizer for decades in Japan and Russia, Electrolysed Oxidising Water is safe, inexpensive, cuts costs and cuts employee injuries from chemicals. It is prepared by employees on-site and is ten times more effective at killing bacteria than bleach and is available in a convenient powder form in a 3.2 gram sachet that gives up to 10 litres of disinfectant.
Says veteran water technologist Dr. BK Sharma, “Amazing Hygieia is green, saves money and is the right thing to do. In Japan, people spray it on sushi to kill bacteria and replace chlorine with EO water in swimming pools. Doctors treat bedsores with EO water. In Russia, EO water is used to kill microbes in oil wells, while Europeans use it to treat burn victims and have developed treatments for chronic wounds with EO water. It is only a matter of time before our patented technology becomes mainstream in India.”
Entrepreneurs Sidharth Sharma and Rahul C. Mehta add: “When we founded Amazing Ambrosia guided by doyens Dr. BK Sharma and Mahendra N Patel, we wanted to identify India’s water and sanitation problems and solve them by adapting world-class technologies and innovating and manufacturing them locally. We brought in Amazing Hygieia and HygieiaDent for that purpose. The unforeseen pandemic struck then and the need for a new, innovative way to sanitize frequently touched surfaces and aerial disinfection of high footfall places with lowest toxicity and least bio burden became priority.”
Opines Mahendra N Patel: “The timing of the launch of our product was such that it was nothing short of miracle water. Globally, this technology has effectively demonstrated excellent cleaning ability in public places such as malls, metro stations, gyms, restaurants, movie theatres, airports and above that also in dairy, poultry and produce industries, making it ideal for general use in retail food establishments. Replacing conventional cleaners in mop buckets, sprayers, foggers and toxic cleaning chemicals with this electrolyzed oxidising water is a simple solution. In addition, Amazing Hygieia has no odour, nor does it produce foam, making it ideal for use in food production.”

Amazing Hygieia/ HygieiaDent is the only stable EO water available in pH of 5.5 to 6.5 with zero chlorine gasification. Electrolyzed oxidising water is approved and certified by the Ministry of Health, Japan as a food contact product as well as the only product safe for aerial disinfection permitted by INMAS DRDO, USA FDA, US CDC and US EPA. Both Amazing Hygieia and HygieiaDent are winners of the Economic Times Industry Leader Awards for Pathbreaking Technology resulting in Exemplary Contribution To Society.
