Mumbai, May 30: Renowned social activist and prominent women leader Sanghamitra Tai Gaikwad, currently serving as the State Secretary of RPI (Athawale faction), has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Bharat Puraskar’ in recognition of her exemplary service to society. The tradition of honoring the best artists and technicians of the film industry with the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award has been going on for many years. The main objective of this award to be held this year on 3 May 2025 at Mukesh Patel Auditorium in Mumbai is to appreciate the work of the behind-the-scenes technicians, laborers and artists like dancers, junior artists, fighters and encourage them by giving them the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award.
