DPIIT Withdraws Public Notice On Music Licensing For Weddings...

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has withdrawn its earlier public notice dated 24 July 2023, which had exempted weddings and related functions from paying music licensing fees. The withdrawal comes in light of ongoing appeals concerning music copyright rights in the case of Novex Communications Pvt. Ltd. vs. Union of India, currently pending before the Punjab & Haryana High Court.

With the old notice now withdrawn, the copyright enforcement rights of Novex Communications stand reaffirmed. This means that all marriage-related ceremonies and celebrations — including sangeet, receptions, DJ nights, and cocktail parties — once again require a valid music license from the copyright holder, Novex Communications.

Event venues, planners, organizers, and families hosting such functions must therefore obtain the appropriate Novex Copyright License for any musical event involving sound recordings. Failure to comply may lead to infringement actions, including injunctions, financial damages, or even criminal liability.

Novex Communications is the exclusive licensing body authorized by several major Indian and Bollywood music labels, representing nearly 75% of India’s leading entertainment music catalogue. Their partners include Saregama/HMV, Yash Raj Music, Zee Music, Tips, Shemaroo, Red Ribbon, among others.

नई दिल्ली, 22 दिसंबर 2025. विश्व उस समय एक ऐतिहासिक सांस्कृतिक क्षण का साक्षी बना जब प्रथम विश्व सारंगी दिवस 2025 का आयोजन त्रिवेणी कला संगम, नई दिल्ली मे किया गया। यह आयोजन भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत के महान स्तंभ, सारंगी सम्राट उस्ताद साबरी ख़ान साहब की स्मृति को समर्पित किया गया, जिन्होंने सारंगी को न केवल शिखर तक पहुँचाया बल्कि उसे भारत की आत्मा की आवाज़ बनाया।

उस्ताद साबरी ख़ान साहब का स्वतंत्र भारत के इतिहास में एक विशिष्ट और गौरवपूर्ण स्थान है। 15 अगस्त 1947 की मध्यरात्रि, जब भारत ने स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त की, उस ऐतिहासिक क्षण पर उन्होंने सारंगी पर “वंदे मातरम्” की प्रस्तुति दी जिसने सारंगी के माध्यम से राष्ट्र की आत्मा को स्वर प्रदान किया। यह क्षण न केवल कलात्मक बल्कि ऐतिहासिक दृष्टि से भी अद्वितीय था।

विश्व सारंगी दिवस 2025 का आयोजन उनकी अतुलनीय विरासत को सम्मान देने तथा सारंगी को एक वैश्विक सांस्कृतिक वाद्य के रूप में स्थापित करने के उद्देश्य से किया गया। इस ऐतिहासिक पहल का नेतृत्व किया उस्ताद कमाल साबरी ने, जो अंतरराष्ट्रीय ख्यातिप्राप्त सारंगी वादक, सौरंग संगीत सोसायटी के अध्यक्ष एवं उस्ताद साबरी ख़ान साहब के सुपुत्र हैं। 400 वर्ष पुरानी मुरादाबाद घराने की परंपरा को आगे बढ़ाते हुए, उस्ताद कमाल साबरी ने अपना जीवन सारंगी के संरक्षण, नवाचार और वैश्विक प्रसार के लिए समर्पित किया है।

इसके सह आयोजक थे श्री विमल श्रीवास्तव, प्रबंध निदेशक, इग्नाइट मीडिया एंड एंटरटेनमेंट लिमिटेड, जिनकी दूरदर्शिता और नेतृत्व भारत की सांस्कृतिक धरोहर को वैश्विक मंच पर स्थापित करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका है।

विश्व सारंगी दिवस 2025 के अवसर पर उस्ताद साबरी ख़ान स्मृति पुरस्कार उन विशिष्ट व्यक्तित्वों को प्रदान किए गए जिन्होंने भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत, कला एवं संस्कृति के प्रचार-प्रसार में असाधारण और आजीवन योगदान दिया है। इस पुरस्कार ने समर्पण, कलात्मक उत्कृष्टता और सांस्कृतिक संरक्षण में उनके प्रभावशाली योगदान को मान्यता प्रदान किया।

इस आयोजन ने विश्वभर के संगीतज्ञों, विद्वानों, सांस्कृतिक संस्थानों और रसिकों को एक मंच पर लाया, जहाँ सारंगी की समृद्ध परंपरा, उसके विकास और उसकी समकालीन प्रासंगिकता का उत्सव मनाया गया। यह दिवस भविष्य में वार्षिक वैश्विक उत्सव के रूप में स्थापित करने की परिकल्पना रखता है—उस वाद्य को समर्पित, जिसने सदियों से भारत की गहन भावनाओं को स्वर दिया है।

लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवॉर्ड पं. एल. के. पंडित – महान शास्त्रीय गायक, हिंदुस्तानी शास्त्रीय संगीत में उनके अतुलनीय योगदान के लिए और उस्ताद साबिर ख़ान – तबला सम्राट एवं फ़र्रुख़ाबाद घराने के ख़लीफ़ा, भारतीय ताल परंपरा के संरक्षण एवं विस्तार हेतु दिया गया.

डॉ. किरण सेठ – संस्थापक, स्पिक मैके जिन्होंने भारतीय शास्त्रीय कलाओं को देश-विदेश में लाखों युवाओं तक पहुँचाया उन्हें भी सम्मानित किया गया.

कल्चरल एक्सीलेंस अवॉर्ड श्री वीरेंद्र मिश्रा को भारतीय संस्कृति पर आधारित सार्थक सिनेमा के लिए दिया गया. ग्लोबल कल्चरल एक्सीलेंस अवॉर्ड सुश्री संजना जॉन को और ग्लोबल कल्चरल एम्बेसडर अवॉर्ड श्री रूबेन गौची, माल्टा के भारत में माननीय राजदूत को दिया गया.

कार्यक्रम में उस्ताद कमाल साबरी द्वारा विशेष सारंगी प्रस्तुति दी गई, जिसमें वे अपने पिता द्वारा स्वतंत्रता की ऐतिहासिक घड़ी में प्रस्तुत “वंदे मातरम्” को पुनः जीवंत किया। साथ ही, उस्ताद साबरी ख़ान साहब एवं उनके पुत्र जनाब गुलफ़ाम साबरी की स्मृति को समर्पित शास्त्रीय रचनाएँ भी प्रस्तुत की गई।

पटना, 7 दिसंबर। गर्दनीबाग रोड नंबर 1 स्थित नेस्टिवा मेडिकेयर अस्पताल में निःशुल्क स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर लगा कर जरूरतमंदों का निःशुल्क इलाज किया गया। आयोजित जांच शिविर के दौरान 189 मरीजो ने स्वास्थ्य लाभ लिया। इसके साथ ही नुक्कड़ नाटक के जरिये लोगों को गंभीर बीमारियों के शुरुआती लक्षण, बचाव और समय पर जांच की महत्ता समझाई गई। नाटक के माध्यम से बताया गया कि ब्रेस्ट कैंसर की आशंका होने पर स्क्रीनिंग कराना बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है। वहीं दो सप्ताह से अधिक समय तक खांसी रहने पर टीबी की जांच के लिए तुरंत चिकित्सक से संपर्क करने की अपील की गई।अस्पताल प्रशासन द्वारा नेस्टीवा नेस्टिवा मेडिकेयर के छठे एनिवर्सरी को यादगार बनाते हुए बड़े ही धूमधाम से मनाया गया। भव्य कार्यक्रम के अंत मे अस्पताल के नर्सिंग स्टाफ व तमाम कर्मचारियों के साथ पटना के कई समाजसेवी जिन्होंने समाज के उत्थान में मदद किया है उनको सम्मानित भी किया गया।

The 27th Mumbai Awards Night and Fashion Show, organized by Mumbai Global, was held in a grand and dignified atmosphere at the prestigious Elite Banquet Hall in Mumbai. This mega event was organized by Rajkumar Tiwari, CEO of Mumbai Global newspaper, and was attended by numerous renowned personalities from the film, television, music, fashion, media, social service, and business sectors.

The event was managed by Puneet R. Khare (Owner of Mayuri Media Works), while Vaibhav Sharma hosted the ceremony with impressive flair. Senior journalist Chaitanya Padukone, actor Raju Tonk, and social worker, actor, and producer Dr. Ajay Sahay were also present at the event.
